can any one tell me how to setup a shortcut to action Quake help!!!!!!

Sure. If you already have a shortcut to quake 2:
Copy the short cut, right click it and hit properties.
In the box that has the quake 2 directory (and most likely some other stuff) add this to the end, with a space first
+set game action
If you haven't already got a short cut:
Find quake 2, right click and drag it to the desktop, hit create shortcut. Follow above
