Hmm... well after installing Road to Rome i was very happy because everything seemed to be working... Of course until i actually try and play the game...

When i click on Multiplayer in Battlefield, where it shows all the Servers etc, if i click "update" or type in IPs it will just lockup. The sound will still be playing but it wont do anything what so ever.

I reinstalled Battlefield, Road to Rome and made sure everything was how it should be, but still nothing...

I tried going thru ASE, it gets as far as the picture of the guy and then it locks up and continues the sounds again...

Its really pissed me off now

Right i should add to this now, when i use the Battlefield 1942 shortcut, it does what i posted above, but if i use the R2R shortcut, it works fine, well, it doesnt lockup... i just get a new problem there when i join a server, it says my CD Key is in use... which it bloody well isnt because its brand new :/

and u didnt just disconnect from that server?

sometimes if u crash out from a server u gotta wait till u time out or summat

well when it "hangs" i leave it for about a minute or 2, and it doesnt do anything but continue with the sound...

Yeah i have ZoneAlarm installed... it asked me if i wanted to allow it to access the internet which i said yes too.

WHOOO!

Sorted it.. it was infact a dodgy CD Key, i mistakenly used an "old" CD Key which seems to have been "barred" but i remember a very kind chap giving me one of his CD Keys, and it works...


I disabled my Firewall beforehand just incase it crashed and it didnt... so whoo!

Now i can finally enjoy this game*
