having not changed anything and having been paying happily for a couple of years i just got a email saying that my subscription was cancelled and my account closed...

why, thank you goa... obviously doesn't want my money any more

Since you haven't changed anything in a few years:
Are you sure your Credit Card hasn't expired?

ive had the same wierd mail...GOA is up to something, must be a bugg in thier system.


i couldnt resubcribe on thier site either.

Same thing happend to me a while back, seems that the Subscription system was in some 'pending' state. Took about 48hours for it to clear itself and then left my account on 'not subscribed' or summit. I just went in and re-added my credit card...

Had the same problem a couple of weeks ago... I`m paying my subscription since day 1 of daoc release via bank money draft order... and they cancelled it for some reason. I´m paying via CC since that. :/

i bet its a try to justifie the subs system "errors" a while back when alot of accounts where changed to autorenew withouts customers logging in subs site.

Happened to 1 of my accounts also, had to maually open it again.
Got a mail from GOA saying they couldnt validate payment or something.

then I remembered I had a new switch card ;)

Well I havn't, still strange that alot of ppl have encountered this.
Seems like some glitch in the payment application.

Well, some people get auto-renewal automatically enabled, then, it's only logical that it gets disabled for some people! Right? Right.

No, not really. Meh. Maybe there's only a certain amount of time that they're allowed to keep creditcard's fingerprints.

tis quite possible it just wasn't working on the day it processed it - I remember the system used to go on holiday every friday about 2 years ago and stop autorenewing on my accounts.

Did it just about every month too...

That said not had any trouble recently other than the last renewal which I'd put down to changing cards.

nope... least not in my case, since - as I said - I used to pay via direct bank transfer, autorenewing every month for 3+ years. There was no CC involved, no expiring, no nothing, just my personal bank account. The annoying thing about this is, that once this method of paying fails, you can´t use it again and HAVE to switch to CC payment. Apparently, they don´t trust your bank account anmore once they´ve refused to accept money from it. :)

Oh dear i suspect GOA have turned off the auto renew on the payments (which seem to go through wannadoo now not the third party they had before.)
