Account termination question

My subscribtion runs out sometime next week. Now I don't want to re-subscribe right away, as I'll be busy and don't want to pay for time I won't use.

The question: How long before my account and characters are deleted?

The FAQ on GOA's RightNow says:

If you want to re-subscribe later, your "My account" section will still be available for 6 months after the end of your subscription (your characters will still be there).
