account splitting

I think i know the answers but i haven't seen them explicitly mentioned:

i plan to split an account so I can have 2 toons on at the same time
i plan to run both accounts off the same pc

before I run the xfer account command from my client to begin the split process, I have to actually set up a whole new account, including re-entering my real-life name, credit card #, etc. correct?

Do i also need to install the client again on the same computer? I read somewhere that all i need to do is copy the "Mythic" install folder into another folder (like "Mythic 2") that can then operate as my second client but that seems a little shaky to me--wouldn't they end up using the same registry keys and also internal references in the Mythic 2 folder might still refer to files in the original Mythic path.

Finally, do i need 2 separate CD keys to run the 2 clients even if they are on the same pc?

You dont need to have 2 client directories, 1 client directory will happily support 2 running versions of the game (assuming your hardware can cope). You do not need 2 CD Keys to start the game (you dont even need 1, that field can be blank) You only need the seperate keys when creating the accounts on the subscription website.

running 2 game sessions at the same time requires to accounts and so 2 account CD Keys. ??


hmmm must be missing something, if not then mythic did...they don;t want ppl sharing cd keys

it doesnt matter if you share cd key because you need a new one to register
