AC Dragon Raid Saturday 4th March 8pm GMT

Sat 4th March 8pm GMT @ AC Entrance in Excal.

I've decided I want to check out this AC dragon so organising a raid. I have no idea how to kill him and will prob die trying but at least its a challenge and I will have a laugh doing it. If you want to come along and have a go feel free to sign up.. if you plan to flame if you die trying then please dont sign up. All items dropped (if we make the final kill) will be lottoed. I have tried to time this around the ML4 raid and give it enough time for ML4 to finish. If this clashes with any other raid please let me know asap.

Remeber this is purely for fun so come along with an open mind about what to expect, even it that is death within the first 5 mins.

BG will be up on either Kristana or Ishtra depending on who turns up but if u just turn up at start of AC one of my chars will be there and I will /y BG name

Killing Xanxicar:


needed:

1-Strong melee/healeage group: when he throws ppl in air and does pbaoe it hurts....trust me been there ....oh and he has 2 heads that hit 2 ppl near him
- Can try a couple of ML9 Matter cabbys also (seems they cant be thrown in air)

2- Theurgs lots of them

3- Rejuv tics

4- Backup melee group ( at 50% he calls Xanxi champs for help)


Can Bring any char needed ( check signature )

Well tbh Kin m8 I never even seen Xan irl so rly I have no idea how to kill him. Will just do the best I can but thx for ur tips. Might be best if u bring caba going by the info you posted

Crystal Caves: Your average Avalon group is not going to want to wander in here. There are three Elites as soon as you walk in, the center one being a roaming mob. If you’re a bit unlucky, you may get aggro the moment you walk in, and each of these monsters is nearly as powerful as Legion. There are only about eleven mobs here, total (ten Elites and Xanxicar, more if you count what Xanxicar calls for help), so it’s not a “hunting” zone.

Xanxicaran Elites: These are essentially level 75+ Reavers. They use Reaver chants, hit for massive damage, and take massive damage to kill. They drop ROG items on occasion as well.

Xanxicar: The destroyer of Avalon himself. This is one of the hardest bosses in the expansion, and the Dragon of Albion SI. I would suggest a raid of well over a hundred players to fight him.(scracth that
General Tactics to use: Resurrection Groups, Debuffs, Zerging, Pet Spam.
Specific Tactics: Xanxicar is a Lightning dragon, and thus, get high energy resistances. He appears to be weak to Spirit damage, so smite and the like are effective. He calls for help at approximately 50% health, and throws much more frequently than Golestandt. His Breath Weapon is a PBAOE, making it horribly dangerous. He broadcasts that he is stomping the ground before PBAOEing, so run away when he does that if possible. His melee damage is low enough that you could keep him on a single tank if they were capable of getting his attention. After Xanxicar is killed, get the loot and run, or you’re in for a surprise. Like other high level monsters, pet spam is almost a must here, especially as the fight draws to a close. The call for help will often distract many of your attackers, and as such, you will need the pet spam to prevent him from regenerating.

Note about Xanxi´s PBAOE.... it as a MASSIVE RANGE :s

Uhh Xanxicar - been a long time since i visited him last.

Iill deffo try to be there with uhh - some toon, got 2 many to choose from that are all viable there.
Will prolly show up with pally and rejuv cleric, and then deside then which toon to play.

Only done him once - or rather he did us once - was a painfull expierience, but fun to see a 'rare' mob.

i remeber TLW getting him down to 21% with 2 fg's was a blody long hard fight and yes we lost but was a good go tbh

Well big thx to all who showed , we lasted longer than I expected and gives me a better idea now of what to expect next time. It was obvious dueling 2 elites that we didnt have enough numbers but I think to last as long as we did deserves respect all round , rly well played by all. I am sure that Xanxicar was shitting himself when he heard us fighting at the top of the corridor ^_^

I will now as advised post a new raid with more sign up time for more people to show and thx to all who offered tips and advice.. i will need your help again for the new raid
