Abusive players

Just wondering about a player that I have seen in the Minos server and Clara, he seems to go under the name of cWf. Kryten ( or somehting like that He is an abusive racist bigot, but still seems to be able to get on to the servers , he is kicked , disconnects , comes back and hits another few abusive binds, then is kicked, reconnects...... Is there nothing that can be done to stop this guy ? except to leave the server the minute he arrives ( which is what I have been doing )

yea i've had the pleasure of being aliased by this fool. Not sure what we can do about it tho. I've seen him use my name tauting rasist insults. The ppl who know realise that it ain't me, but there are alwas a percentage that simple don't understand whats going on, and its the effect on those ppl that this has that annoys me

I am always being aliased by this person as well (actually a lot of ppl alias me for some reason). Anyway just lay in to him and he continues but it is damn funny cos he almost gets annoyed. Also you'll probably see him wearing IHATE[MOD] (this guy is still around), hehhe
I'm guessing that guy is MAD Chymes. (the IHATE[MOD] one, not the racist twat).

The way to make him stop is to ignore him ffs. Once he realises he isn't getting anywhere, he will give up, no matter how persistent he seems.

By posting a message here (which to be honest he probabley reads) you will only fuel what he is doing - cos he knows he is getting to you.

Just be quiet and get on with it, no-one cares if you are getting aliased anyway, get with the real world.

We've had the lot on CtC. A guy who comes on and floods the console with 'Mofrag, is this your server?' (Mofrag is a regular who doesn't have a clue what this twat's on about). He goes by different names, mainly King of K or Matlock. Aswell as that he would go into observer mode and dish out all sorts of crap to the players, usually the guy/gal winning.

So we came up with a plan of action, leave if you see him, and whatever you do; don't talk to him. What happened?

Well, whenever he connected to ctc he suddenly found himself on his lonesome, not very entertaining methinks. About a week of that and we never saw him agin

I dont use the tagg IHATE[MOD] nor do i use aliasing as an excuse to go insult people when i dont want them to know my name cause its all so important. I'm a bit more upfront and direct with my opinions than some scheming 14 year old gimp that takes it all well too seriously. Anyone that doesnt like these lamers should do what was suggested above and just go to the console and type quit and play q2 on one of the many other servers around.

yes I agree the only thing to do is to ignore the abusive player and leave the server ,which most players seem to do, but not everybody does this so he still has an audience of a few people. I posted this message purely because I wondered if he could be banned or something from the servers? Cos why should I keep having to leave the server because of him!

Right ive just found this post. I will elaborate. The player you are on about dear sobqt is an aliaser, who has not just attacked me but a fair few others too.
I, and him, play as [Cw.F]Kryten. I believe myself to be a very respectable player, and was therefore distraught when i found out this guy was using my name (And my real name) to spam racist and vulgar abuse on BW and other servers. Police are involved, and no, Exor, i certainly will not let it rest. Over my dead body. He has been known for doing the same thing to more famous people, namely a certain writer for PC Gaming World, who had the police on him for infringment of copyright (using his writing name). And the police are taking it very seriously. As am I. I now have admin access to most the better quake 2 dm servers, im now a Public admin for the Barrysworld q2 ffa (see DrChris's column) This is in fact serious and I would appreciate any help you may be able to supply. Logs and time's would be most useful, email to kryten@moomoo.co.uk if you have a particularly offensive log.
He is known by me to have used the following names :

And others. He is known only to us as "Cybercop" which he does sometimes spam in ascii art.
i STRONGLY advise you do not have a go at him, the more recent victims seem to be those who had a go at him. I shouted at him big style for aliasing as Pussy, whom i knew much better then that.

By the way SobQT, i notice you disconnected today when i joined on Claranet - best bet, stay on and make sure im LPB - the aliaser is HPB, just so it doesnt have to spoil your game any further

Yeh, that's the guy. One of the names he uses. We know when it's him because he uses the line 'I'm looking for the chicken god' over and over before he starts his crap. Comes on the CtC server bout once every two days. Usually sometime (only for a few maps) tween 11pm and 2am.

His latest request was to display messages without displaying a name. He kept flooding the server with the same message over and over.

Later he started on my m8 k3nny (pay attention to this one). He was asking him where he was from etc, I was telling k3nny to leave it but he's new to ctc and didn't know what this guy was like.

Eventually he started giving me abuse (winning so I'm the obvious target). I said C-ya and was just typing disconnect in the console when he said
'Us Kennys should stick together' and left.

Might be of interest to you. His ping was tween 350 and climbing over the 400 mark at times (this is the method we use to determine wether someone is really themselves or not).

I had a spell a few months back when some imbecile started cloning me. Ironically, it was because I caught him cloning Exor and gave him a barrel load of abuse. I dealt with him by utterly ripping him to pieces every time I saw him, to the point where I had the entire server laughing and giving him shit. Poor lad didn't know what to do, and disappeared soon after.

However, for those of you not OCA Approved™, I'd follow Exor's suggestion and just ignore him.

Face it, a guy like this has less of a social life than any of us hard core gamers, he probably has no friends as well. True he is a complete tosser and if you insult him enough he will go away, if he is ignored he continues to spam his shit. Downside to ripping it out of him is he then aliases you.

I remember the thread about this on the old UKCCL message board, Elvis Bacon was he 1st dude he started on. Sad little man with no friends.
