Absinthe

I just bought a bottle of Sebor Absinthe to.....er.....'enhance'.... my cs experience. Fuck knows why I bought it, it cost £25, but some of you guys will have some ideas on what I can mix it with.

I was just gonna put some ice and a bit of water in it, what do you reckon? It's a bit powerful for me to drink neat.

Whooa! Go easy with that stuff, Tom. It's an hallucinogenic and can easily cause some pretty bad trips. I was at a party a few weeks ago where there was a little absinthe in the punch and it took out two people. One girl got totally wrecked and claimed she was seeing things and started walking home. She got lost and when she sobered up a few hours later had to call friends to pick her up (she was dressed as Lara Croft heh). Another girl was vomitting in the bathroom while her friend kept her talking from outside the door. After a while the poor girl got paranoid and climbed out of the window (ground floor) to throw up in the garden where she thought she'd be safer.

Anyway, my advice would be to try VERY SMALL amounts of it first and don't keep topping up throughout the evening.

Very popular in nineteenth century France, you know. ;)

No idea what it does to the liver.

You can drink it safely as long as you dont mix it with petrol/pure spirit.

If you leave it in the freezer, you can drink straight shots of it. AS long as it's the 55% stuff, its not too bad. Some of the higher strength bottles, I'd be a bit more cautious about. 70% is about the limit before I go find something to mellow it out.

I was on the plain old lager last night playin cs . Near on choked and spat it all over meh pc , this morning my mouse , keyboard and monitor are sticky and stink like a nightclub. In fact my monitor needs a polish for the 1st time ever :(


Ps . i wonder how shotteh is feeling this morning :)

mmm £25 quid a bottle. In prague u can get it for 5p a shot :) As far as I'm aware you're not meant to mix it, kind of defeats the point really. It's not generally a drink I would consider drinking in a non-social situation. Enjoy the burning sensation and inability to speak :)

I missed the very last last night out after exams at uni cos of that stuff. Was convinced that I'd failed one of my exams and a resit was on the cards.
Started easy on the old vodka in the union, but moved swiftly onto that stuff. 9:30 I was being bundled into a taxi and marked for home.
EVIL stuff.

Mix it with either motor oil or paint stripper for the ultimate drink

absinthe fking r0x0r, swill it just like u do aftershock for that lovely ooooooo gums burning through to the teeth effect then swallow like a good woman :D dont polute it, NEAT NEAT NEAT I SAY ! ! !

One part absinthe, one part water, burn some suger in a tea spoon over the cup with a lighter and stir in.

voila, instant happiness.

I drank everclear for the first time (lat year) thinking it was vodka. :(

turned out to be pure grain spirit or ethanol as its more commonly known (i.e over 90% alcohol content not proof)

I was ill for days :/

dont go near this shite ..stay clear at all costs. you cant buy it over here as its illegal to import but some prick at the bbq I was at brought it home from the states (not legal in many places over there either) and left it lying about.

Anyway..this guy was makin cocktails for all the old grannies with this stuff thinking it was vodka :/... paralytic old people is not a pretty sight. I also drunk these cocktails. I dont think my liver has recovered fully ....

you have been warned :)
