seems like resists (and debuffs) actually being fixed in 1.63

(and thus mana chanters being brought in line with other casters - or nerfed depending on your perspective )

Why roll a caster now if they nerf chanter/rc-carvers if they change it? Nuking for 200-220 vs good resists, fully buffed with int if no debuff. There is no reason unless they lower resistbuffs.

he's referring to a report that the combined caster TL's presented to Mythic, where they suggested a system of diminishing returns on resists

something like:
instead of a resist % from items, you get resist points
for 1-25 points you get 1% per point
for 25-50 points you get 0.5% per point
and for 50-100 points you get 0.25% per point (an example.. mythic will probably fiddle with the amount per point to balance it)

it should balance out the higher rr tanks (so mages arent useless against them)

also, they'll fix debuffs to debuff a number of resist points rather than a %, so you get the same effect, and most likely to balance it, make resist pts < 0 also give diminishing returns
