You are still subscribed to the threads that are sending you the e-mails. New thread replies won't send out to you, now that you have unticked the wee boxey. You just have to wait for the old threads to sink to the bottom of the forum though.

Just revel in the popularity of a full inbox for a while Uncle Sal. Everything is transient
