About the 2.8 ML...

The minimum requirement is lvl 40, however I find it impossible to do this at lvl 40 with certain classes. Maybe Im doing it wrong, or there is a tactic where you can "help" out with other higher lvl alts more actively? This is why I'm asking for advice.

I know about "step of the platform" thing. Also had healfield up, all redbuffs, EB+dmg shield. Still can't complete before the encounter timer is ended and mob teleports down again (mob was at 48% hp at best). Can I have a cleric in grp, is there a way to reach with heals without being "pushed" into water?

Main problem is, I cant kill him fast enough since I need to step outside ring and rest hits (even with healfield). Tried this at lvl 40, now char is lvl 42 but I think result might be the same. So if you know something that might help me (and others, trying to get lowbie alts through) gifv info please.

Ive never tried it with a char that low..

I have noticed several times (when ive done with my two buffbots) that the encounter ends sometimes before i kill him and it just gives me credit (happened with both bots) but they were both ~ level 45 when I did that..

Know that isnt a lot of help but dunno maybe if you keep trying it may happen for you too (tho think they got the mob below 40% health)..

There is a post on VoS saying u can use group heal/insta from the first platform up.. maybe worth a try?

You can be in spreadheal range.
You don't need to kill the mob, just get him below about 10%.

For low level chars give them ebs, damage shields etc and you can spread heal from the top of the first set of stairs (possibly pbt range too haven't tested that). Took several level 43's through this way over the weekend.

Find a cabalist friend (I used a level 46 spirit spec).

Run the cabby up to the top and put the pet on the dais. Set to passive and stay, and run back to the bottom.

Get your level 40 toon, and start the encounter. Run to the top and begin the fight. Switch the cabby pet to aggro. The cabby pet will all but own the guy for you, you just need to help it along a little (if it's a level 46 cab at least, a level 50 with buffs can probably do it on its own np).

This worked a treat with my level 40 reaver.

you can: Group with a rej cleric.

Let the cleric stand at the first plateau. Then he can use groupheal/spreadheal from there and heal you. But dont let him go higher, he will get kicked down.

Ive done it a couple of times, where a cleric stand at the the near the platofrm, but in the corner - very very snugly in the corner. With buffs and heals a level 43 did just fine.

This may have been a fluke tho, as on other occasions my cleric got pushed / blown off the top, into the water below.

On a side note - has anyone done this encounter with an ice wizzy ? I used my Ice wizzy at 50, and was able to root the mob, then AOE from quite a ways away from it. However the mob didn't un-root itself and i was able to nuke away with no problems (One very happy ice wizzy)... just wondering if this is a bug ?
