Unless you can overcap your hits by 40 and con by 15, then you can use it without a worry in the world.
If you can't overcap those, then do not use it. Why? Here's why:
-when changing from bane&shield to flute or drum or whatever, you will lose the hitpoints granted by the constitution&hits on the weapon. That can't be countered by having those on the drum/flute/lute either.
I've spent **** loads of money on my minstrel without knowing about that you lose the hp like that, nowadays I know that that applies to power/char/pie/int or whatever your casting stat might be. (the power/hp being drained out from your power/hp pool that is)
-Slightly pissed off Soulfly retiring his minstrel, who thought she was cool now, with all stats capped...
