Thought I'd post here. I'm after a favour.
For a while now, I've been thinking about buying a pair of those funky "VR" head mounted LCD screens. Something like a the Vuzix 920's (top dollar). Not for me though.
You see, I need to try them first - even a natty old pair of low rez ones. My Mum is on verge of loosing her sight, and she does love her soaps. At the moment she is wearing what I can only describe as "nano-surgeons glasses" - Conrad Electronic - System Information to be precise.
I got the idea of getting her a head mounted screen set a while ago - so at least she can sit in her armchair in comfort during the winter months and with a little luck, catch a few flicks in comfort.
The reason I am posting here is that like myself - some of you are collectors of nerdy tech and have all sorts under you bed - maybe a set of these LCD glasses. I'm not asking to buy them - just borrow - see how she gets on. I'm concerned about the weight and how she'll get on from an old persons point of view - and indeed if she can see anything. I'll pay postage back and forth, plus a fee for the trouble. If a deposit is needed that's also workable. It'd help out heaps.
I've been around since the beginning of the forums - I'm sure some of the old hands can vouch i am genuine and not a fly by night scammer.
Thank you.
