A suggestion : Darkness Falls opening night

I know 1.49 is probably months away but how about all 3 realms make an event of it. On the opening night we all get into DF by a set time, then all 3 realms converge at Legion (the daddy of DF) and batter the bejesus out of him. As soon as he is dead we all res and rest followed by a 3-way battle royale just for the hell of it Would anyone be interested in this? Maybe GOA could plan some kind of event around this, say Legion is sending undead to all 3 realms and he must be stopped at all costs type of RP.

Well you have a problem.

DF only open to realm with most keeps, so to get everyone in there your going to have to let each realm lead in keeps

I'm not sure what happens when 2 realms have same number.

Not a problem. Say albs have all their own keeps plus one keep in middie-land to call their own - Albs will get into DF and most of the albs WILL go there since it's very fun and rewarding. Now, that one keep albs had in middie-land is up for grabs since albs will be doing stuff elsewhere. Lets say hibbie decides to grab it in 20 mins and then they all go rush DF! DF is very big so it's not like hibbies will pop up right infront of the albs already there. When both hibbie and albs are having fun in DF middie decide they had enough of this and grabs their keep back, followed by a keep in albion. Now middie have the most keeps and they all charge down to DF....

there, all 3 realms in DF at the same time. Of course, if you die as an alb now you will not be able to 'port' back to DF until albions have the majority of all keeps ... again.

From what I hear - on US-servers (only ones that have DF so... duh) the access to DF changes like 20 times a day, sometimes more and sometimes less. Even an underpowered/underpopulated realm will have no trouble getting access a couple of times each day since there will be no defenders at the enemy keeps (all are in DF having a blast).

I'm REALLY looking forward to DF. RvR will have a new reason, not just relics anymore but now all come together - keeps, relics and access to DF. An alb army marching through hibbie-land might just be there to grab a keep and get access to DF ... or maybe it's the start of a relic-raid?! Do all hibbies leave DF to defend their relics or is it just a one-time grab to get access to DF? ...

So, all 3 realms can be in DF at the same time. Thats where the prime-RvR take place on the US-servers (no more emain).

Nothing happens when all realms have equal amount of keeps its just closed to all. Been playing on Merlin recently and DF does change hands at least 5 times a day. Went exploring in there and it looks pretty damn fun. We saw what happened last time a cooperative event was organised in the beta... not much except half people being nice and sticking to the idea of the event and half just openly ganking members of other realms. Battle Grounds is also a nice thing to look forward to although it does get boring after a while so you keep on leveling.

Seriously tho, legion ain't that hard afaik. 1 realm can do it by themself [just a matter of tactics and trial and error].

The real mob down there is the Worm ....afaik only 1 server in the entire us has killed it. It insta's to full hp [maybe even several times].

I read somewhere that if say Albion had access to DF, and mid took one keep to make them even with Albion, the Albs would still hae access until the Mids had more keeps than them.

Yep.. the realm with most keeps has access to DF. If two realms have the same amount of keeps, then the one who had access keeps access.

The only scenario in which everyone might have access is when everyone has the same amount of keeps before installing 1.49.

It would be good if GOA made an event of it, kind of like their explanation for this sudden dungeon that's just appeared out of nowhere.

I'm sure they could sort something out, it would be cool to do something like this. Good suggestion.

Actually, we're (Event team) waiting for you all to storm in (into DF), then proceed to take all the keeps and relics and hide them (relics) somewhere... claiming all the keeps and installing the Uber Relic guards at all of them.

PS. Forgot to add. Those Uber Guards (keeps) will be upgraded to Rank 10.

Oh, and the Keep Lord's are non-static and have body guards. And they can flee to another keep.

Yep great idea in theory but if tonights Duel event is anything to go by then there will be those (in all realms) who will attend JUST in order to KOS, they will enjoy themselves and spoil it for those who attend for other reasons. Dont know how youd go about arranging an event like this without someone getting bent out of shape...ie those who will say <How dare you orgnise an event and then allow your realm mates to gank me!> and those who say <Ill kill whoever I choose whenever I choose and dont you dare tell me how to play my game!>

Looking forward to DF tho...

i don't think a multi realm legion raid would work sorry- A misfired AoE would start a war (sorcerer mezzs 3 inc succubus and also all the Mid and Hibs around him )
