A successful respec!

I've respecced

to

34cs, 35stealth, 34 axe, 39 left axe, 35env (5spec)

from

44sword, 50cs, 37stealth, 23env (critblade)

And its amazing to be able to melee for a change thanks to those who helped me chose it emma, blood and Cylian =)

Figured forums will be full of accidents and disapointments, but heres a happy smurf =)

Just to report, Blood's respec went really well too, doing nice damage with spear now, and still do nice bow damage (i guess 60 bow isnt too shabby).

Hell i still got 402 spec points left that i've been holding off to see if they were needed somewhere.

how i have understand this whit my berserker.

from laxe is calculated max damage, so more points there, your cap is higher, but variation is huge.
weapon, in this case axe, instead say what your minimun damage is, higher it is, lower variation between min and max damage.

example.
if have laxe/axe same lvl, hitting target allmost allways same damage only minor changes,
if laxe/axe is 50/40, damage goes some hits lower, and some hit higher, first 300dmg, next 200dmg etc etc
that 34 axe and 36 laxe is common whit sb.

Axe is one of the areas where you gain beyond 50
Weaponskill determines damage and how easily you are parried, evaded, blocked..

The numbers under style names are the style bonus, not the total damage. Base damage is for main and left axe. I had +5 to axe and left axe for all tests, so the highest actual spec I tested was 55/55, which is listed below as 50/50. I used a double bladed 99 quality axe in main hand, and a 98 quality hand axe in offhand, repairing whenever they dropped below 100 condition. My stats during the test were Str: 157, Con: 131, Dex: 180, and Qui: 121. Testing took place over 5 hours of soloing scavs in spind. I know that 5 hours isn't as much testing as I should have done for statistical significance, but it was enough to convince me of the trends.

what this shows is going from 35(40) axe/39(44) left axe to 50(55)/50(55) left axe gives a 15% bonus to total damage from doublefrost. going from 44(49) axe/left axe to 50(55) axe/left axe gives a 5.5% bonus to total doublefrost damage.

for a 5 spec imo 39/39 Axe/LA is better than 39/34 or 39/36
Weapon skill and spec is very important and I would give up a few points in Envenom for it.

My final spec is :

44 Axe

10 CS

And I still have full respec left

when i hit RR 6 i respec to

39 Axe
39 LA
34 env
33 stealth
34 CS

I wont go lower than 39 axe. Its hard to get +axe when u are using 2 crafted weapons- my bracer, rings etc are full with thrust, slash and body resist

When I get RR6 I have +5 on axe, that gives me 44 total. But if u have 34 like pudz, then its 39 at RR6- to low!.

34 might be low at the moment but give it 1 more patch when the new dungeon turns up then he will be able to get it higher with items.. and the finally with spellcrafting to 50 easily

Durgi's slight respec went well, all i did was lower la a little, and drop my envenom back to 50, and move the points to cs.

with rr/items:

54 sword Base : 41
50 stealth Base : 35
14 la Base : 8
60 cs Base : 44
50 envenom Base : 40


Works wonders.

Did a respec aswell , not that dramatic respec tho...lowered cs and put thoose points into la so I got this spec

Stealth 34 Sword 39 La 44 CS 34 Env 25

The difference for me was switching the Stunning stab to Icy Brilliance.

Think that was to my 34 Axe?

Aye definetly planned for future had to get rid of critblade i could'nt kill anything but a caster or a stealther whilst unstealthed - even then had probs ;(. Had spec for just over a week properly still think its great, if I could have respecced again I'd have killed cs to 2 i think but ah well pa aint so bad
