After renewing my account for SI and toying with a BD and savage I have mothballed my lvl 50 SB Xtronicus and....(drumroll please!)...rolled a healer called Taalis to be my new main.

When I first moved over to EU daoc I levelled a healer to high 30s but stopped playing.

Anyway help please

As it was so many patches ago that I played a healing class seriously I'm out of touch. I want to play a balanced healer (low Aug tho) with decent CC but nice mending.

Can ppl give me tips on spec and RA's please? I've read a little about spread heals and battery of life but am so out of touch. I know MCL used to be a musthave - is it still? What order should I get RA's? etc etc.

All comments welcome, I hope Taalis serves Midgard well and poor Xtronicus might come out to play once in a while

K I am teh gimp augspec but I'll give you what hints I know.

Spread heals are supposed to be really nice, heal-most-needed then 2nd etc. Battery of life is an RA I think, but some people say that its too easily used up, cast an aug con and it heals them to max HP, someone takes falling damage, more HP wasted. Sounds like a good idea though and something I'm definately going for.

MCL=uber, get it, all you need is a night in BG1 and you have the 3 points you need for it. More mana every 5 minutes can't be wrong, but they've "fixed" it in this patch so that you have trouble using it in combat, you'll find yourself spamming it a lot in a long battle to get that little bit more mana you need to save the main tank, spam it enough times and you can normally save em last minute .

Don't forget that PoX is in Pac specc, so either have enough pac to get a nice one (PoT really sucks at high levels, believe me) or get some levels in the serenity RA as soon as poss (you'll need aug acuity first which will increase your max mana anyway)

Also, this probably effects aug healers more as celerity makes your group do lots of damage in a short time, but a good stun is worth 10 heals

Xtro m8 Going 38 pac for insta aoe stun and mezz and 36 mend for decent spread heals rest..like 5 or so in aug , gets your the first run buff

Nah agree with Damon or you could message rae when he's in game he is a pac spec healer so he might have a few ideas

Yeah the 'Healer Spec' Thread has pretty much everything you're asking for...

...failing that, just ask anyone ingame. It seems everyone and his dog knows how to play healers better than the healers themselves
