A Serious Question to hibs.. all of you!

i'd actually have to agree with envenom here, now i dont like buffbots at all, at least not for rvr, pve fine, use what you like, doesnt bother me in the least, but buffbots ruin the challange in rvr as far as i'm concerned, but what envenom said... yes, EVERYONE seems to be buffed to the eyeballs, getting a buffbot isnt really like getting an edge over your opponents anymore, it's basically a case of putting yourself on an even footing.

now personally i'll still not bother with one simply because i'm not that concerned, but i can see why someone would make one these days, to make a level playing field to solo on in rvr, it's getting to the point where you actually NEED a buffbot

hmm, let's see: say the Hero has 40 in parry and MoP 2, that gives him a total of 5(base)+20(skill)+6(MoP)=31% to avoid an attack +5% from Evade I.
The NS has evade 7 which is 35% Evade. Add to that several lvls of dodger and the fact that both parry and evade are modified by dex, then i end up rather having a NS tanking. Especially when you consider that the NS will be able to land more taunts ( faster attack-speed).

But you will still get hit sometimes, and the NS have half hp and paper armor, and if hero use an LW falcatta witch is pretty fast spd, I would say that keep better aggro. Cause slower spd taunts taunts beter per blow than faster once....haven't red it anywhere but it's from my experiances after lvling a shit loads of chars
Btw, I don't hate NS' I actually want at least one rouge class in my group all the time, but it's just wrong to see that an NS or ranger can ever tank better than a equal lvl hero...cause that is bullox

Just a quick question but am I the only one that sees what is more than likley poor Leaps problem?

I think the thing your missing leap is that the problem is not so much the fact your Shade (I take it you are one anyway as you don't exactly say) can't get into an RvR group because he/she is a NS. I think the biggest problem is that it is only lvl 34 and so would con grey to about 99% of the albs or Mids your group would be likley to face in Emain and so when given the choice of filling the last group slot up with a grey con NS or one of the half dozen lvl 45-50 other characters LFG in DL the outcome is kinda obvious to me. Sorry if this offends anyone's sense of fair play

yup charnol you said it all there you need a buffbot to put up a decent fight sometimes i will go unbuffed into emain and hey i make some decent rps but then i bump into an infil noob whos buffed to fuck and i die where as if i was buffed i woulda had a chance ;/

LOL, anyone below lvl 45 that expect to get into a RvR group is not very smart. I have RvRed a bit lately with my ment alt Warshade at lvl 35ish....37now and i don't expect anyone to gruop him when I go RvR, if they do thats cool, and if not thats TOTALY no prob at all, cause I'm not expecting much as that low lvl. But it hasn't actually been a big prob. I've got into many lvl 50 gorups with him at lvl 36, so I must say I think the hibernia people are great, and it's loadsa nice a caring people out there. Just try to not see the once that is not so nice, cause the majorety is actually very nice.

Get some nice friends and a nice guild and it will prolly lighten up you're daoc day. And try to get to 50 before RvR. (reason I rvred with my ment at that low lvl is mainly becouse I found it fun to own purp peeps, becouse I wanted mcl, serenty, WP and MoM and becouse I try to learn how to best play a light ment).

Yes, my shade was 34, but lately he been stuck at 38/39 and i do play for fun, thats why i enter the help at keeps and do DMG the lvl 50 mages inside, hell i killed a 50 warrior twice with a friend (lvl 39) in midgard, now that was funny, i dont do it because i have to, i do it to get some rp's some fun... sure u dnt have to grp me, im now a green con bastard killing mages or unhiding stealthers that would kill ur mages in a keep take, dont mind me having fun, problem is :> u care to say that if u wanna get a ress get a grp...


then.. how can i get a grp if they only want lvl 45-50 in grp? =P

besides i was in this game from the start without nifty ra's and uber armours when the limit for rvr was 35+ which still would work tbh, so.. cya in game

Oh well, wasn't saying you would be no good in an RvR group 'cause as you say still got all your poisons and class skills, was just trying to offer an alternative reason for the difficulty in finding RvR group to the one you suggested. Don't blame it all on "The Uber Group Template"
