A Request for feedback on Guard of valor

Last night around 4 am cet i did gov with some other ppl.
It all went smooth and we killed Danos. In some strange way gov didnt drop and ofc they other guys started calling me a thief which i fully understand and wont blame them for. However if anyone have tryed this to or know what may have caused it plz reply to this topic.

If i can get a picture edit program i will submit a ss later on

Happens sometimes, RightNow it and they'll check logs and give you one. Unless you abused tether or wtf tho ;D

i seem to remember one of the gm's, saying that it wasn't a 100% drop.

why need a picture edit program? just use ms paint an save as jpeg.

Nope, Guard of Valor is not a 100% drop. Its a fairly high droprate, but not guaranteed to drop.

Was a case like this not long ago and re Rightnow'ed it, and as DavidH said, it's like 99,9999% droprate, but ofc, not 100%, dont think anything is...

aye they .jpg, but they bigger files than if you open em on paint and save en as a .jpg again

well it will say abomination killed if hes killed with focus shield. As i recon thats not abusing anything. And i wasent that high up the hill to be at any safe spat at all. anyway it didnt drop and i will have ti live with being acused for stealing it. Im a human like anyone else

A lot of such encounters doesn't give drop on pet kills, this is why theurgs tend to use low level pets in spams (many attackers, but no chance of pet kill). Same is known about many ML steps, etc.

Why it works this way? Because drop tables are handled by some code in the daoc server, but quests, ML steps, one time drops, arti encounters (and arti drops) are mostly scripted events, and if a pet kills the mob such scripted events might fail to execute properly. And these arti drops are often not normally droped by mob, but placed on ground or in inventory when mob killed by a player...

I know the pet code and script thing but i done it this way ALOT of times and this is first time it didnt drop. Maybe just bad luck but thx again for great feedback
