A reaver question.

When albs just attacked and died at Blendrake, i have a question. Something odd happened to me, that i've never seen. I looked over the battlement over the wall and got off a few mjölnirs. And got hit with a whip by a reaver. Then i moved back to so i stood over the back door still being hit 2 more times. Then i ran around the battlement on the edge of it nearly falling down into the courtyard. And when i got to the woodenstair, i was hit again. So how long range does a whip have and dont it require los to be able to hit??

ps. for you BW guys this is just a question not a whine.

Asp, extended range attack.

Melee style and does not require los.

Hmmm, how long range does it have? Was sitting on the edge of the stairs when you hit me.

Asp is behind tho? So it shouldn't proc the increased range if your not hitting from behind? Guess it's the same bug as with savages multiple target styles, couldn't find that it was fixed in any patchnotes tho. Savages multiple target bug gets fixed in 1.62.
Looked kinda nice to be able to melee archers inside the keep while your still standing outside... :p

yup, i think the style fails, but you still have the increased range on it.
I heard you can hit ppl on walls if u jump :pP

Yep, you can hit people on walls.

The extended range still applies even if the style fails. This is not quite the same as the savage style issue. Asp is not in a chain, therefore there are no prereqs.

If the savage ae styles were first in a chain then the same would apply. Similarly, if Asp changed off another style, and you failed that style, the rule that was applied to savages would hold true

No bug.

interesting logic that. by the same logic I could say something like:

Suppose using the style celtic fury LW anytime) caused DAoC to crash.. is this a bug?

This is not like the savage's AE styles, since celtic fury is not in a chain, and never fails because it is anytime.

No bug.

:p

honestly, just because something isn't identical to a previous bug does not mean it's not also a bug :p

So, by your logic, it is a bug that when you fail a style you can still cause damage?

no, by my logic states you can't draw any conclusions as to what is a bug or not merely because it isn't similar to another bug.

but please, I am *very* interested to know how you could possibly have gotten that from what I said?

There's a lot more powerful styles on a lot of other classes than this "extended range" one.
