since the new patch i am unable to use DAOx.... i am not a user of irc so i cant get the information that way. i know something needs to be done with the .dll file.... can someone help me please?

It is the "lets you ALT-TAB" between DAOC and for example IRC one. I tried it for one night but found it kinda takes you out of the game which for me degrades the whole DAOC experience. It's fun to talk to people from the other realms while RvRing though

imho daox = yelling "asshole" to the alb that just killed you, hearing what kind of an asshole you are when you just killed someone, have a quick chat when you're sitting on your bum again when soloing etc etc

daox is not a cheat in normal sense, it allows you to run daoc in a window eg allows you to run daoc and mirc,yahoo etc at same time not not bomb out when you want to use them. it is against rules of conduct though. personaly i used it to get round a firewall issue since daoc kept locking up and woudlnt let me get to the allow box behind it.

some programs i dont see a problem witih, running in window is hardly a cheat, uo for example comes with a auto map which is third party and uo encourge people to use it.

UO Assist rocked!! That was perfectly accepted. I can see Mythics point though, it just makes it TOO easy to hack if its in a window (EasyMacro anyone?). But if you ask me it causes more heartache and grief and by the looks of the US servers there are a hell of a lot of cheats anyway.

come on i not going to risk brannor finding out who i am now am i <grins> yes illegal in a way but come on not like it harms people. i know some use it for irc for chats with other realms, that is regretable side effect, however i not care bout that, i can name many that use the program, more then you'd think i bet. but it not something that matters to me. simply want to talk to my guild, and craft somewhat whilst i work, not see anything wrong there.

read the readme file that comes with it would be a good start.

oh and current version dont work with daoc current version.
