Been a while since I looked into the PS2 gaming market.

Anyone got any recommendations?

I hear Onimusha 2 is okayish???

I plan on owning all the above in the near future.

Ico is superb. Best gameplay in a console game for a longtime. Just get ready to turn the sound off when the stupid cry starts whinning all the time.

It's not even remotely similar. The addition of finite playing areas has changed the game completely.

Oh and 37.99 for Tekken is only extortionate if you're a pikey. Or don't like Tekken.

Well, I went into GAME, and it was £44.99. Which is extortionate. For me, anyway.

if ya buying ps2 games in the shops, go check out wh smiths' buy one get one half price offer, lasts another two and a half weeks... also worth checking them out if you're after just dmc or just ring of red too, as they are £20 each there....

oh also watch out for the fact that WH Smiths branches have different pricing on a branch to branch basis.... i got Burnout 2 and Tekken 4 for £37.99 each (not inc. half price discount).

oh also, if you're just buying single games, play.com is the cheapest place to go... i've looked around dozens of e-commerce games sites, and while a few people beat them by a few pounds on a few games, it's generally safe to say they are the cheapest.

essentially;

it's ghouls and ghosts 3d.... it's got fantastic gameplay... mildly cute... challenging... fun... vastly different worlds, not repetitive, etc... ya can pick it up for £20-25 in w h smiths at the moment... i reckon it's one of the better bargains there...

i've been playing devil may cry for the first time

I never got it before as I hate resident evil with a passion and assumed it would be like that, but it's not.

Its actually rather good. Dante's moves are indeed teh w!n.

tekken 4. brilliant game i think. granted the characters look a little gay but they finally fight to their fighting style e.g. boxer. better at punching, encircle the opponent etc.
