A question from a new player

Hey, im just ordering daoc uk version here, and i'd like to know if any RPing goes on on excalibur or any other english server.

looking forward to see everyone ingame.

there are some rp guilds in excalibur but prydwen is the 'unofficial' roleplaying server.

The Kindred is a roleplaying guild on excalibur / hibernia, contact Auscia or well anyone else from the guild if you want to join.

I dont see the problem with RP..its fun, it adds to the experience, and thx for the advice guys, I wont rp where it isnt wanted.

No Gunnerr will do that. Most peeps are civil enough to let the people who roleplay get on with it.

Kindred seems a nice bunch on Hib/Excal id recomend them.

And no Gunnerr i do not roleplay.

Don't listen to Gunnerr mate, he's having a laugh. Apart from the occassional juvenile, most people won't have a problem with you RPing, and some might play along a little

Order of the Knights Templar will roleplay in a guild group but I rarely see them roleplay outside of a guild group (some do though).

Most people will put up with roleplaying on pryd but then so will people on excalibur I've found.

I used to roleplay but gave up - its quite difficult when most other people dont

if you roleplay at random people on the server in excalibur you either get confused looks, and they say 'k, thx' at you anyway...

or they roleplay back occasionally

Everyone in this game is roleplaying....

If you make your character behave in any way differently from how you do in real life, it's roleplay.... and I've yet to see anyone in real life who runs around the countryside hacking elves to pieces with a sword, or shoots fireballs from their hands to incinerate dwarves....

I was doing a quest on Albion/Prydwen, looking for an NPC at Humberton Castle, and I climbed up to the top of the tower where there is a room with a big purple bed. There were two players, a male and female, both highlanders, sitting on the bed wearing no armour. I assume i interrupted their "roleplaying". If you like that sort of thing, maybe Alb/Pryd is the place for you.

I think you should report them trough RightNow, that kind of vile action must be agains CoC, morally unacceptable or at least worshipping satan.

About roleplaying

We used to play Rolemaster(a old roleplaying game). Thats was fun. But to roleplay in a computergame? Must be hard.
