Well, i was in the neighbourhood and thought of you all - so here i am for a short visit. Are there any of the old names still around?
Although i've been online for most of the period i cut crap loadsa time when i left this board. Although i'm beginning to think now that i can afford to come back a bit more cause of my ISP account.
Atm, im on Claranet Freetime. I don't know if you guys know about it but you've got different account options, mine is Freetime80 which gives me 80hrs of free online time a month for £30. (thats £90 a quarter = over three times cheaper than my normal phone bills)

I use freetime 80 too. 140-160ms pings and fast browsing

3 weeks though and my 80hrs was all used up

LOL! I wouldn't say i'm a veteran, just an oldie. I used to run one of the first ctc clans(Clan EgGstreme - which was a damn fine clan i might add), other than that, i was just a full time quake2 addict.

Ahhhh, i think you'll find that May99 (if i remember rightly), was the date when this messageboard was first made active. We were all using Webboard3.0 waaaay before this one ever came to light, and there was a crappy one forced upon us during that time too - remember that anyone? LOL - the whole place turned into a rant site.

Anyway, as for clara freetime80, even if yer free hours only last 3 weeks, at the end of the day its still working out cheaper than your average phone bill aint it? I used to get bills of £350 - £400 a quarter. Freetime has cut that down to £90 a quarter (cus i work a lot and dont always find the time to come online).

Best thing is, the whole system is nicely reliable with my average ping being about 120 - great for Q2 or Tribes (speaking of which, Ted - any chance of a renegades mod server?).

BTW Kryten, (nice to see your still here btw) - whatever happened to [SMEG] ?

Have you ever tried playing Tribes?
/me only tried it for the first time a cpl of months ago. DAMN why didn't someone insist i play it before!!
Trouble is though, whenever i go back to Q2 and try and play, i keep jumping off ledges and then wondering wtf is wrong with my jetpack - DOH!

Err I've got a CoPY of the Tribes CD, but call me crazy I haven't actually installed it yet! But I've played it at a m8's house for like 5 mins. Jumping across some platforms, hmm didn't really get into it. But since u recommend it so highly I might just make room on my Hdive for it.

Oh if anyone does Management at King's I've decided to bunk today.

LOL! Lo shovel. BTW - is it just me or has this board got seriously quieter than what it used to be? It used to take me hrs to get through all the new messages each night. Hardly seen anything so far

Oh well, methinks i'm gonna have to change that. Lotsa a posts coming up
