A Night in Midgard

Went to DF to XP a little and gather some Diamond seals.

Had fun killing Nightmares and Sucubii. Got around 18 seals. While we were deciding on what to do a Chthonic knight enterred the room chasing a blue-con healer. We were six in our group, a thane, a skald, myself, a shaman, a healer, and a runie. It was at full health and the one thane reacted and hit it...so we had to fight.

Then it was off to fight at DC, where I quickly learnt that jumping off keep walls hurts when you're a big troll. Thankfully, I had rez illness, so none of SotL got any RP for me the second time. ;)

Got to kill Hanibalsmith, and got a few other RPs...but warriors are really quite useless in keep defense. In the end, Albs had more than we did, and got in and killed all that were left.

Great fun, and 2 bubbles of XP, not to mention some nice new sleeves and gloves thanks to Twiz. ;)

Oh, and Gideon...(if I remember correct), no need to spam /laugh so much. ;)

Actually...my start on that raid was quite sad...

I was joking that I must remember not to try climb the wall to get inside... :D And then, when I ran up, I was trying to click on the gatekeeper, since in ALL the RvR I've been in in the last few weeks has been as an Infil, I hadn't really taken note of the "enter", "exit"...so I clicked on the second gatekeeper, who promptly teleported me outside... :( I thought he'd teleport me inside too... Bah!

I saw Artemis or Camillo knife someone then jump...so I jumped after them...lost 47% (that was almost 800 hps) in one go...not fair... Amazed that it took you all so long to latch onto me... Even had time to turn back to make sure I was inside Rez-reach.

Although you guys did all gang up on me on the wall...I mean, 5 oranges (probably L50's) all poking me wasn't that nice. Bastards.

Oh well. Still goes to show the uselessness of a warrior in keep defense... Oh, and that mezzer, was probably Twiz...he tends to love AE mezz a lot. ;)

baah Brannor you cheat!
When I first saw the title on the topic I thought the post was going to contain hot erotic stories about norsewomen bathing in the river between galpan and gna faste, but it was just a story about some dumb troll getting some seals, jumping of a wall, getting killed and getting laughed at.
pffft

1. I dont like being called a blue con healer.
2. I didnt pull it there, it was on Perplexed first and then came to the next target (as they do)
3. Your attitude afterwards the fight was appauling.
4. Well done on killing it, i thought it would have wiped you...

Just some little points there that u missed out!

1) I couldn't recall the name. And how can you take offense at it? You were blue to me?
2) Did I say it was your fault? No. There are lots of mobs that go aggro on anything near while they return to spawn point. We discussed this ingame. WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. I merely stated that it was chasing you. ;)
3) Yes, sorry about that. Glauthrong has this thing about jumping on corpses, especially when on edge. Had I found Perplexed I'd have done just the same. Most times, I actually respond immediately to saving people (ask lots of lowbies around there last night), but had never fought one of these Knights, and didn't know that they chain aggro.
4) My first thought. But then I saw I could hit it, and hurt it, and that once I started guarding the person who had aggro, found that we could block/parry/fend 90% of its blows.

Sorry you died, and sorry for jumping on you.

Hehe...just checked... that knight is L66...20 levels above me... /flex

Nice to have really good group members too. Great teamwork. Love Lurre's comment though "What happend?"

Oh, and excuse Twiz, like me, and you, and the entire group, thought we'd die there too. ;)
