A new Scout concept:

I am soooooo bored now that my account nears its 5 month closed date so i have alot of time creating new concepts I always wanted a Highlander scout just cause highlander is my fav race of alb. well here is the concept:

Race: Highlander
Points: 10 str, 10 con, 10 dex
Auto train Longbow to 12 so till lvl 48.
Spec:
Slash: 39 (backslash in combo with slam is nice)
Shield: 42 (slam)
Longbow: 45
Stealth: 25 (due to auto train, stealth is just to get away not to use for stealth sniping.)
Function: Caster/cleric defender with gaurd and before they need gaurding shoot arrows to interrupt enemy casters/healers.

well my question, would this concept work and/or did someone make this up before. My account nears opening and i really would like to know if this is doable and if the function is good

Nobody will ever want a scout in a group so you need to be able to get stealth to 50. Crit shot + slam is more effective than Backslash + slam.

Get away from what? any sb/ns hunter/ranger will see you miles away with that spec.

why 35 stealth? rr4 isn't that hard to cap with +11 from items..

or do u get some abil @ 35 stealth?

35 stealth for low rr scouts lower stealth at higher rr boost other abilities .. as a scout getting a grp is not easy dont make ure scout for grp abilities. scouts dont get grps

Excalibur is all stealthzerg. You need to plan ahead so you can acheive 50 stealth.

38 lbow(36 if u don't auto train)

Scouts kill with bow, and their best defense is stealth.

Alb groups very hard pressed to get every ability, and
when it comes to utility a shield guarding pala >>> scout.
Also atm guarding is a bit out, since its 2-3 asssiting dw'ers
who is enemy tank group. Another cleric >>> scout when it comes
to defense.


Spec 1.

45 bow = rp2 and good bow damage.
49-50 modified stealth = yes you can solo the 99% of the time you dont get groups.
42 shield = well purge is often used, but it can be useful.
Melee = Leftovers like 29 slash, 21 trust etc.

Spec 2.

45 bow = rp2 and good bow damage.
49-50 modified stealth = yes you can solo the 99% of the time you dont get groups.
Melee + shield = leftovers, like 50 trust,50 shield etc.

Those 2 specs is what i consider necessary scout specs on
excalibur, along with a good BB

If you want to melee things to death, make a merc, pull with bow and surprise them

Personally going for 50lb 35stealth 42shield 18(i think)thrust.

rofl I saw a scout with 1(?) stealth last night, I could see him miles away

My scout is 40 LB, 42 Shield, 35 Stealth and 35 Slash, making him able to melee a bit, and still hold decent damage with my bow.

Probably gimped him, but he's a fairly good all rounder which suits my play style.

50 +13 Longbow
39 +13 Stealth
42 +13 Shield
9 +13 Thrust

Dont really have any complaints with it to be honest. Just gotta make sure you find a decent hunting spot for getting solo kills.


Which can be boring walking in stealth to be safe to get to Collory & Crauchan, but rp's make it all worth while.

50 LB gives so little compares to AS, there is so few fights where
you absolutely need pa3. AS is atleast consistant damage on sbs,
around 130 buffed, which might be enough to take the last hp of him. Against NS it matters little, they hit so hard on alb studded only chance is to slam and run/crit.

Because of damage tables i think you should atleast aim for
2/3 modified spec in melee. Trust is ofc best in raw damage,
but mostly you will fight sbs in melee, and since they are weak to slash that matters a lot.

50thrust, 45LB, 34stealth, 12 shield best scout spec there is

soloed a hero last night, in pure melee

scouts >root, and handy on /assist and can guard, think if you looking to do a group scout, you need to max shield and max bow.
