Best way to share my cable across 2 PCs simultaneously?
Trying to run 2 copies of DAoC at once here, one for my self and one for my roommate. We have a cablemodem plugged directly into my computer atm. Got a 2nd network card in my PC atm (first one is connected to the modem) and i was thinking of connecting that to my little hub, and then the 2nd PC into the hub...
Is that the easiest way to do it?

It's certainly the cheapest, but the downside is that your PC must always be on to allow your roommate to connect.

I use a cheap router (ADSL in my case), which is connected to my home network. The wife and kids can connect whenever they like without me turning my PC on.

I believe that with cable the MAC address of your network card is registered at your ISP, so a router with the ability to spoof this address would be required. I'd imagine that most cable routers would be capable of this.
