A hypothetical question

Suppose i was wandering around odins one day, and came across a yellow and an orange duelling.
Suppose i waited till they had weakened each other, then killed them both; supposing i had done that and gotten 500-odd RPs, would i get flamed?

Even in CS, thats right Counterstrike, i let a knife fight take its end before killing the survivor (if he wasnt on my team). DAoC is a RPG so i think duels should not be interupted, as they help the atmosphere and let you see how good you really are.

better to kill them both while they are occupied. best to start with the orange. if the orange wins the duel before you kill him, then you only have him to worry about, if you kill the orange before the yellow is dead you only have a tired yellow to worry about

I actualy did that 2day

A yellow hib and an orange Alb was fighting just outside mid mfg in emain. I spotted em both with half life, did my area mez, killed the orange, then killed the yellow one. I kinda felt a bit bad doing it, but I got my rp's, made a bow and left... Nothing personal. U might say its not the safest spot 2 dual, guess they just met by chanse, so I think its within my right 2 do as i did.

Landshark, we hide away from the bloody minstrels. if you hadnt guessed by my siggie i dont like them might be worth asking zoyster where assasains lurk, i hear a certain level 42 midgetshade likes to pick on him (he owes me 2x rp now, killed him 4 times now, one was reskill, one i got points, and the other 2 i got no points and he wasnt recent res )

Although if you take it to be a RPG then if your character is the kind of person who would do it then you should of course play that way ;-)

I have to admit, if I see two obviously dueling it would depend on my mood.

Sometimes I might let them live, sometimes I might take out the winner, sometimes I might die to both of them taking me on..

All theoretical as I have never seen anyone obviously dueling and if I see a fellow midguardian fighting the enemy I will always steam in to help them as a quick kill is a painless kill and easier to take on their backup.

i had a great duel earlier against a red hunter i managed to get my pa chain off, and with the help of Terminuses buffs, which he put on me earlier, i managed to kill the hunter with a slither of health left was about the best duel ive had in a long while, i forgotten the name though was worth 918 rp though id have been pissed if he hadnt payed up

Btw sometimes you get no rp even of a non recent rez due to your poison, saw on 1 of the forums that this sometimes happens killing mobs and players for exp/rp if poison gets the last hit

1.48 fix:

"When an NPC has damaged a player and you get no Realm Points, you'll now get a message telling you"

so this is probably what has happened, a npc mob has hit that player recently and u get no rp's but no msg telling u why
