A hello (and some questions!)

Hi guys,

Been lurkin around this forum for a while reading up on your posts and seems a damn friendly place and nice too se some familiar names around too <waves>

Anywayz, This is the 1st ever RPG i have played having been 'brought up' on castle wolfie/doom/quake and the like and it was only by the offchance that i was at a m8's who was playing it that i got into it. So far its nicked an unreal amount of my time but i dont care cos i am loving it.

Wanna say a quick hello to all from a new guild in middie also, called Death Collectors. We are a small small guild (less than 10) who are all RL friends in the UK. We intend to keep it small and fun

Anywayz, some more waffle if u dont mind Please feel free to correct me cos i know i am a bit new to this lark

Drops - I see people on /b in gna selling dropped armour and stuff (spind dark/shadowsteel mainly) and it confuses me some as I always give away those drops that are not good or needed by myself or my guild... surely its better to do that for the 'good of the realm'? Sure i understand that people need cash also but at lvl30-35 just go farm varu mebbe? dunno, just annoys me some..

Lair - mmm, what a total pain! As said elsewhere on a post it sure does bring out the bad in people. I have been the victim of many a lost/changed hands list mess up and have chalked up over 75 hours of wait time for lair and made 2 levels.. is this normal? It can be difficult to organise grp's for rauma cos people seem so focused on the lair which is not that wonderful imo anyways.. in fact i think i made better xp at trows with just me and a shammie. The lair seems a little over hyped imo

I dunno, just seems to be some rite whiners out there, to those that do winge constantly chill out!!.. its a game and enjoy it, some days u end up with less xp than u started buy who cares Enjoy it and make some friends, i know i have... time for a few thx i think to those that have helped me

I know what you mean about Malm Mr Spesh. I've not even bothered visiting it yet and am instead going to stick it out in Spind as long as possible (unless I can get into a regular Raum group).

The first time I decided to even attempt a trip to Malm I was put on a list with 15 other people. As much as I'd like the XP and am in dire need of chain drops my level, I'm not prepared to pay for a game where I have to sit in a que for the pleasure of killing mobs. Not my idea of fun or value. If it means I have to bypass Malm and XP elsewhere at a slower rate... so be it. At least I'll be active rather than just sitting looking at the surroundings hoping enough people leave a group to get me further up a list.
