A good server?

Hi guys, I'm in Australia at the mo' and my buddy wants to know what would be a good config for a dedicated server to run LAN games of CS; Q3; Unreal Tournement etc etc. Any help you guys could give would be great.

PS: The weather is great (sorry if that pisses you off )
and I am writing this in an Internet cafe in Sydney. Had a great blast on CS over a lan earlier, ping of sub 20ms

Well... it's a bit of an obvious question really - he'lll want to get as high a spec machine as his budget allows.

Lots of RAM is good as is dual processors, don't know what else you want to know really... I mean how many people is this server going to be required to host on how many different games at the same time? How much money has he got to spend on it?
