A few more Q's

Ok I'm seriously thinking of strolling down to Game tomorrow to buy this game, but just wanted to ask those that are already playing a few more Q's before I do :)

1) How does the server system work? Is like EQ (or other MMORPGS) where you pick and a server and your character is locked into that server so should a freind play on another server you will never meet?

2) Whats the community like? I realise its all new, but are people freindly, is there a lot of interactivy outside of corps, do you get a good feeling of immersion

3) Obviously the idea is to build yourself up to higher level, but what are the rewards for doing that....are you a mean one man killing machine or is about making your corp the all new ruling empire in the system. Can you join and leave corps?

4) rewards and penalties for player killing? Whats to stop those who can play 24/7 from running round killing those who maybe cant put as much effort into the game

Any info or answers would be greatly appreciated....I'm sorry if they are silly questions but other than a dabble in EQ I've never really enjoyed RPG's and I guess what I'm really looking for is Freelancer graphics with the immersion and freedom of Elite.....Does Eve fullfill that want? :D

well as you know i havent even played yet but as for number 4 - skills train from real time meaning that even if you log out for 10 hours then the skill is still training for 10 hours while your logged out, spending more time online only makes you get more money, not more skill.

well im not a server techie but what i do know is there is only 1 server which can hold way past the server capacity of daoc servers and that way you get more players on that server alone which is GREAT+ there is no lag what so ever.

Community is nice also if u got a question that needs answering ask and normaly some beta player is there to answer.

you can leave a corp if you wish

the last one is that if a player kills another player his security rating will go down and police will hunt him i think

also put a big bounty on his head and he will probably have 30-50 players after him heh

GO DOWN TO GAME NOW AND BUY IT :) its a great game and as said before normaly i HATE space games but this is just totaly addictive

The agent smissions are a little more interesting to do, but at first the game shows little...although this will naturally change as you progress.

Some things aren't available yet because nobody has bought the blueprints to manufacture them.

The servers are transparant, which means that anybody in the world can see anybody else. http://www.eve-i.com/indexx.php shows the number of ppl online.

Community is all very nice and friendly, very helpful people on.

You can join and leave corps.

Rewards for killing pirates are improved security rating, loot, and money for each kill. Rewards are the same for killing players (although the best pirates disrupt your warp field, and demand cash/cargo before letting you go). You can't get killed while you're docked in a station, unless in future they allow the destruction of stations.

I think they're gonna have to implement station destruction, especially when corps start building their own stations and the titans get implemented.

There are lots of problems with station destruction, if a large station is destroyed, what happenes to the economy? they need to think very hard how to implement it before they do.
