Hello chaps.

Can anyone recommend a good gaming mouse as I have been recently told that my wireless heap of pish that is intelli is no use ... esp for CS.

Skyler reckons a decent optical mouse but he didn't mention names.

Can any1 help me on this?

Cheers

Leggie.

p.s. I also have to apologise to skyler and jobs for my recent annoyances ;)..soz guys.

"Best gaming Mouse"

Most people semed to opt (me also) for the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3, which will be arriving at my door at the end of the week (hopefully)

i did have one a while back, but after 2weeks or so the damn thing "Short circuited" was playing so well with it too :/ But the size of the mouse fit perfectly in my hand (no crude comments on that :p) whereas my new mouse is a lot smaller, and i sometimes hit the right mouse by accident.

Get an Explorer 3.0....

It isnt as big as the original one, and it never skips, it tracks beautifully and is nice and comfy!

Logitech radio mouse, I've had it for about 3 years, works beautifully. Hardly ever clogs, good range, doesn't need line-of-sight.

I've gone through a few meece's lately, I've had a Genius optical mouse, that was quite good, I've had a Genius radio mouse, that sucked balls because its got an auto power off thingy, so when I camp in CS and an opponent steams round the corner I of course don't move or shoot, I had to wiggle the mouse first to wake it up then I could perform, my favourite mouse(which I use now)is a Mircosoft optical one, I got it on special offer from Staples for £20.

Stoke is worse than Liverpool, believe me. I have to drive through it regularly, that A500 is the only decent thing about the place.

Mind you, Liverpool could do with some serious apartment conversions, like we have here in Manchester.

i used the intellie explorer for nearly 2 years, aye its a good mouse, but............i just bough a logitech mouseman dual optical, wow, sorry but it blows socks of the intelli, its so bloody smooth :) i would say it has actually improved my cs :)

but be warned, going from a ball mouse to an opti takes time, it took me about 4-5 weeks of constant cs playing to get back on form.

and also i had loads of shit problems with intellie & windows ME/XP with cs, it just fooked my mouse up so bad, couldnt move it fast or it went all over the place.

anyways, each to there own

1 - Logitech mouseman dueal optical - around £40
2 intellie explorer 3 around £50

logitech gets my vote :)

I just bought the wireless optical explorer (ms) and it works a treat - much better then my knackered intelli explorer.

Dont get any jerky movements when moving fast - supposingly updates at 6000 Hz, like 4 times faster then the rest of the MS mice.

I like my mice big too :D

Oh and a good mouse pad does wonders, really.

Just got my New Explorer Mouse, its as smooth as anything, yet to get use to its sensitivity (Had it about an hour) altho i did try AWP Sniping, and i took out quite a few people with it, which with my old mouse was pretty hard, coz of manoeverability

So first thoughts myself with this mouse is, as soon as i get to grips with it properly, its gonna be one superb peice of kit!

Hmm I'd like to know if you turn your windows desktop mouse speed up full using a boomslang does the mouse pointer jump around like its on a grid .

I have the first microsoft optical mouse that come out and its useless for playing CS :(

I use a Microsoft Wheelmouse Optical and never had n e probs with it as yet. It's one of MS's cheaper optical mice and it works a treat.

I use a Logitech red optical thing, it was only 25 quid and is probably the best mouse I've had :D

Boomslangs have a dpi of 1500. The new MS mice (explorer 3.0 and wireless explorer) have a dpi of 6000.

The human hand can supposingly travel at a maximum speed of 30 inches per second. At 6000 dpi, it covers 37 inches per second.

The new Microsoft mice track even better then the dual optical logitech mouse, which tracks at 2 x 2000 dpi.

Cannot fault the MS mice in comfort and trackability. Plus no parts to clean.
