This should sound familiar to most of you.

Ok, DF is new and everyone wants to see it, but frankly i'm so enormously tired with levelling i want to get it over with as fast as possible so i dont have to worry about dieing anymore and can spend all my time on some quality rvr and huge monster hunts.

Maybe it's me but exp in DF is nowhere near a well organised lair group, maybe even a group at Yar.
The chtonic knights give good exp (38-44 mil) but they're a huge risk and they're can't be "farmed"at the speed you can do execs etc.

Enough chitchat, if there are any of you that think the same message me ingame so we can set up a what i like to call "good old 1.45 lair group", which basically is 1 healer , 1healer/shammie, one pbt runie, one skald and fill with random damage dealers.

DF is great for level 30 to 40 there is a hole wing where the mobs are great for leveling and getting _emerals_ , if you go down another wing you'll find mobs that are orange, yellow, red and purple to level 43, Great right? nope because there aint that many of them. Then you can go for the big guys they sure rock but the spawn rate is low.

Sure its a great place with great stuff to buy, and new skins and all. But i must say a lair hunt is just a god exp and items, because then you can get to 50 fast and go get the seals you need and buy the stuff you need in DF, and once done you can do the guild hunt / rvr stuff.

Only point I with on MR TNT :uhoh: is that we need to let if settle down, since over 100 middies are in there all the time thinking "I CAN ONLY LEVEL HERE". Its odd when we got malmo we forgot the swamp and raum, when we got DF we forgot Malmo.

what a load of bull, i ran around quite some time not finding a suitable expgroup and there's grey and green mobs galor and the occasional blue, which offcourse is out of the question to solo since i can't pull one (the entire room however is no problem). After that it's just orange and red, and since the oranges are so few the fekking place is camped like woodstock back in the days.

I'm not planning on losing more exp there then today (.7 is alot) and if this little nifty plan of mine isnt working out ill just camp spindel until 50.

I've noted that in DF at the moment there are a lot of headless chickens running around with no idea what is going on, Albs and Hibbies picking them off and much chaos.

I went there after the patch to see what it was like, experimented for a little while and left.

I'll wait for the stupidity to die down I think. (Eg: someone pulls purple+++ and instead of taking their lumps tows mob into middle of of other groups that are xp'ing who then also die - reminds me of the scav room in Spin)

Closing in on 43 myself. I had just gotten into Malmohus when 1.49 came. Quite frankly I shouldn't have suicided to go to DF. Sure it's new, but it's also chaos. If the 47+ rule isn't that "hard" I'd welcome the chance to go along.

Klavrynd, you set a time, and I'm there. DF is depressing with so many deaths and no even-con mobs. I'm 46.1 now, and I'm sure as a warrior I'll fit into the "random damage dealer" slot just fine.

Hell, I'd camp Malm all day Saturday/Sunday if it meant getting to L50.

PM me here sometime today with a time you'd like to meet at Gna (tonight or tomorrow), and I'll be there.

On a side note, DF is nothing more than a whole lot of square rooms glued together with a few non-square rooms. Never saw any of the nice claustrophobic, tight-'n-narrow passages I grew to like in so many other dungeons.

I know how you can get a feeling that is close to that, you get 30people +, you turn on all effects, names, and what ever you can find to spice up your gfx. You might not get claustrophobic, but you will get pohobia for highest, and lagre mobs since you dont know when you'll lag next time. It works realy nice for me.

Another about DF is the people there I was down there trying to get the last 0.6 bub till my miniding, and I was at that room with the little imps and their named mob, they drop sapp's, the only people there was souleater who was farmning for Rotoc's and Blackacid who was trying to get 14 sapp's for a sword, and me self who was trying to get a miniding. All was great untill a group of orange and red con's started farmning for sapp's on what was yellow con mobs for me so there went the camp bonus . Next yet another group comes along and starts pulling mobs, this group was blue con to me so I take it the mobs where orange to red. If there is one thing I never understod with a few of the people on prydwen it is when they see a group exping they seem to think "WOW lets do what they do in the same place as them". What is wrong with just facing the fact that if you start pulling from the same place exp will be crap and downtime will be _hell_.

And yes I know DF is new and we'll have to let people settle in and get to know the place and stuff, but thats no *bip* excuse to act like you a newborn n00b. The place is lited with graves because some _guy_ just had to try and pull _the mob_ and got killed and then got every onther person in the room killed to.

So if there is a malmo group going and a lvl 43.8 isent to lowbie i'll join you, even tho I never liked malmo it sure as help is better then 146 ppl in DF leeching on each other, it can only be better. Besides the only seals I can get soloing is es and ss and I just dont know what to do with them, as I think the ss stuff (blue, yellow and orange con to me) is kind of sucky.

So all I can say is call me. I might be soloing with my hunter (Kei) for the time being.....oh DF is good for one thing, since every one is down there the camp bonus is realy great in the rest of midgard.

I also should be around for most of the weekend and I'm willing to grind away in Malmo. So if a time and place is decided give me a PM here and I'll be there if I can make it. If not for joining the group I'd welcome a chance to get in there as it is very hard for me to get in there being in a small guild.

I've been giving this alot of thought and this is what i came up with :

After the dragonraid we did a 3group lair err hunt and exp was quite nice.

group 1

NEEDS : pbt runie, one healer preferrably 2, one skald with highest damage add

Fill with random damage dealers (and that includes sb's)

everyone needs to be 45 or up , healer preferably 47 or up (for
reliable mezzing)

group 2 + 3

at least one character able to heal (shammie/healer, sm ghettoheal doesn't count), these groups normally not tend to get aggro but safety above all.

one skald , fill with random chars

then, on a more general basis (these may sound like nazi rules but the better organised the better the exp, after all after 45 it's not about fun anymore but getting 50 as fast as possible)

-No loot discussion while pulling, settle this during dragontime
-If you get an item you want, you keep it , ONLY if you can use it ( so eg. no thanes keeping leather armor for their sb twink)
-If an item is given away and two people want it , we do copper loto on the LAST MOB BEFORE NEXT DRAGONTIME, so we can do a number of lotto's simulatenously

- before we start off, we choose MA and peeler

-no characters under 40 (old "nazi" rule again but it burdens overall effectiveness)
-please take advice from those that have spent quite some time in malmo.


If someone has suggestions on this topic, please share it, if not i suggest we gather at the hut in gna tomorrow around 12:00 cet

DF is both fun and boring..
if u get a group and group up with several groups which r all high lvl and go kill princes and such big tough hard mobs then its really fun.. the problem is to get a group though

ive probably died more in DF in these few days then my runie has died during its whole career before DF haha.. but it has been LOADS of fun and also rather good exp as u dont lose too much when u die at 45+

im currently 47.5 with my runie (got PBT wohoo ) and i guess i could join for some 'safer' exp in malmo to get a bit closer to 50...
3 groups is too much imo though
