Film A bit late but...casino royale.

I don't get it.

I mean, i don't get the praise it got way back.

It doesn't seem like a bond, it doesn't feel like a bond, some of the segments dragged worse then a romero zombie, and well...

It wasn't really good now was it?

I know it's supposed to be more of a "growth" story, but it lacked bond too much. Not to mention the "prequel with better tech" always confuses me.

If it was named "Agent X in Casino Royale", i think i could appreciate it but now it's like watching a documentary about the kent farmlife with the name "superman" in the title.

Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's not really...royale.

Oh aye, it was a turn for the better, but to me it felt like a turn that kept on going and didn't stop until halfway WTF.

And yeah, it's my opinion ofcourse and it can't cater to all.

there is a way to enjoy it though. wait til the scene where he dies then stop watching.

I can agree with you in part i mean most of the poker scenes just didnt need to be there but man....parkour at the start...now that kinda thing i liked!

I like them, just don't watch them expecting to see a film similar to the old bond movies, they're kinda more themed towards a Die Hard movie.

Have to say I liked em. Grittier and a big improvement over the cheesy Roger Moore Bond Classics.

Casino Royal I thought was awesome one of the few films that showed Bond how the books do just a mean piece of work who gets the job done. That’s what I liked most it was not all gadgets and funny sidekicks it was a man on a mission who took advantage of his licence to kill.

That being said I though Quantum was crap.
