Insta Mezz, the thorn in my side being a bard, im sick of being insta'd with bout .5secs of an ae mezz or st mezz left, mythic sort it ffs if not take mezzes out make it so my cast carries on when mezzed (yet u still get mezzed also), and anyone ssaying minstrels arent overpowered is full of bull. Getting mezzed then half hp took in 2 dd's and 1hit then getting insta stunned and finished off??? anyone who says that isnt over powered is a silly bastd anyway my 2 cents, soul

Haha, Someone Got Owned Half Health In 2 Minstrel DD's? Lol, Even A Runemaster can get less than that.

Minst has no insta mez m8.

Insta stun but a 3 sec cast time on mez.

I'll demonstrate it to u if u ever meet my Minst RvR

I'm not even going to mention the fact that half the time in rvr as a tank I get mezzed then nuked and the nukes don't appear to break the mezz.

I would cry for you if it wasn't such a joke.

If you can't play your character then why do you bother? Use tactics that work for you, spread out your mezzers, or use your speed like the others do, get a balanced group. But complaining that their mezzers are faster then you, suck it up, us sucker tanks get no mezz and we deal with it. For a start you are a hybrid class you have other skills, don't just mezz. Also as an insta I suspect it is on a timer, so after the first time they are a bit stuck, so spread out your troops and then zerg them to hell and back.

Lol that one of them urban myths u have in Middie ?

Ur completely wrong as soon as a Minst starts 2 Mez stealth is lost, same with the other 2 songs a Minst has. U must be confused with the stun, its an insta so u loose stealth as it hits.

mins aint overpowered at all they just one of the best balanced classes on the 3 realms .

mins stealth sux
mins hp sux
mins dmge output sux "imo anyway"
long mezz cast time sux

btw minstrals also get Ae mezz in later patch :0 but from what ive heard form a friend on us servers it sux andaint really much good for offense it more of a ae mezz to escape mezz than a ae mezz n kill mezz if you know what i mean .

I have a minstrel on usa, and no ways does it ever suck. With regards to solo classes I reckon it is easily one of the best.

Bards however are not made for combating minstrels, too many people jump to conclusions about the "singing" classes being made to fight each other...The only offense a bard has is the BOOM, which looks and sounds a lot harder then it really is, otherwise it's a few blades/blunts nothing special.

I play my bard like a mobile ambulance, I don't bother fighting, it's not my job...most importantly I stopped caring about the minstrels that kill me, chances are I have mezzed just as many that have died to the tanks I lift everywhere, that is where the bard truly comes into it's own, in groups.

I do look forward to the Bard's new abilities, but I doubt whether they will make any difference whatsoever to the ability of my bard to tank. I will be able to stun...and then what? Hit the bad minstrel with a pansy untill it dies laughing.

At the end of the day though, I find the bard a lot more challenging to play, this is a personal choice.

Not only does a minst destealth to mez, they have to play their flute to do it. Listen out for a flute noise and if you r quick enough press f8 (with any luck you will target the minst not a nearby mob) and do /face lull (to stop mez bein cast) start to cast mez and then press shout. With any luck the minst will have been startled that u interupted him and wont react in time with an insta of his own (shout/stun) and you will have one mezzed minst with a few hps lost. Then call yer mates to come and twat the bugger.
Dunno if this works at higher level with more experienced minsts, but it has worked quite a few times in the low bg for me (when i am fully awake that is )

Problem with that tactic, Lessurl, is your first mez attempt on the minstrel is likely to be interrupted by the minstrel's DD shouts. Also you have to stop to mez, whereas the minstrel doesn't.

That's why i said it only works if they are too startled to do any insta's to u. Most of the minsts i've met in the bg don't expect to have their mez interupted.

Yeah, normally you start mez and DD a second or two later, as they get autotarget when you do damage. Kinda hard to mez them when you're taking DD hits.
If BG minstrels don't even DD as they mez they suck more than I thought.
