To Borg, Aran, members of Artisans of Willow, and my dear friends in the Eternal Circle alliance for the very fun cross-realm event we had! Also a big thanks goes to Ziera for planning this event!

I enjoyed it very much and I am happy to say that despite eating wild torc raw (yuck!), they were gracious captors.

I look forward to more events between AOW and EC.

This was took some planning to pull off: sitting stealthed behind a tree in the Gorge (boring beyond words, watching the piggies) and not being able to chat with my guildmates (that was torture!!). Thank goodness for chat groups and a second computer with icq to coordinate our actions.

Although many of my friends in EC are not rp's, they did a great job and I was very happy to see the response that we got.

Can't wait to see what Borg and friends plan next!!

How did that work then? To be honest it doesn't seem very in line with the spirit of the game...

and by the way, my friends did slaughter my captives after i was returned.

this in no way means i will be conversing with our enemies under normal circumstances, that is just wrong.

this was a special event and only Borg and I were chatting to each other. We did not discuss anything else non-event releated, such as relating where the rest of Albion or Hiberia was and what there were doing in Emain... nor did he ask.

Do not fear, my dear friends, I am not spying for the enemy, my heart is true to Albion and Albion only.

Heh, she pays her money as do other people who participated and spirit of the game is what they percieve of it. If you dont agree with it, its your problem.

I think you guys did a great job, who knowns, maybe we will see more player-run cross-realm quests and events, that really brings DAoC to whole new level.

Thanks for that Svar, so with your reasoning if I decide that I want to send information about relic raids and keep takes to the Middies then I am perfectly free to do so? After all I pay for the game and I perceive it to be alright therefore it must be okay. Get a grip please old chap...

And Kyra thanks for the full report. Sounds very interesting, but I still don't know if cross realm events are ethical to my mind. Glad you had fun though :)

Well I think you got the wrong end of the stick here.

Cross realm conversation is perfectly ok as long as it doesn't affect other peoples gaming... Yes she pays her own fees so can play the game as she wants BUT ONLY if it doesn't spoil the game or affect it for others in a negative way. Obviously talking to enemy realms about relic raids would have this affect but maybe you don't see how (albs aren't known as 'stupids' for nothing you know).

A cross realm event is totally legit as in Beta there was a huge cross realm event and there has even been a cross realm marriage in which Kemor was instrumental in helping.
