I recently got a virus which meant the only way to fix My pc was to /format c: :( After reinstalling windows from the recovery disk (It's a PB) I tryed to reinstall my Geforce 4 but after installing the drivers and restarting the pc on updating the system files I get a 'There is a problem with your display settings. The adapter type is incorrect or your current settings do not work with your hardware' I'm pretty sure it's not the drivers as I've tried all the drivers on the manufacturers web site and the last few versions of the detinator drivers, anyone have any other ideas as to what it could be?

If you have a VIA chipset, try updating the drivers for that - can't think of anything else atm...

Make sure your motherboard chipset drivers are installed. Lack of these can cause issues.
