Test Version 1.62d Release Notes

- Berserker Left Axe Snowsquall, Icy Brilliance, and Aurora Borealis have had their damage slightly increased for the the Berserker (only, this change will not affect the Shadowblade).

Does this mean more than now, or more than after the nerf?,
or will SBs get the la-nerf and then not get this add?

- confused -

- Berserker Left Axe Snowsquall, Icy Brilliance, and Aurora Borealis have had their damage slightly increased for the the Berserker (only, this change will not affect the Shadowblade). Additionally, Aurora Borealis now chains off of Icy Brilliance and has a cold-based DD proc. In a 1.62b, we increased the damage for one select chain for both Dual Wield and Celtic Dual, and now we're doing the same for Left Axe. Please note that this "increased damage" is based off the new 1.62b damage values, so it will still do less damage that it currently does in the live game, but it does more than it did in 1.62b.

big nerf for sbs, big nerf with a little + for zerks.

Yup, looks like they force us to spec criticblade.
Gives nice edge to ns&inf when they can purge our enervating if they want, whitout fearing stun attack :(

why?

even after the nerf, left axe is still FAR better than CD/DW.

still swinging ever round, still has natural haste, and still out damages CD/DW.

btw, yes thats right, we (SBs) dont get the new added dmg in the above 3 styles...

However

but they still seem to emphasise that this is for berserkers only.....suggesting that Aurora Borealis remains as a parry style for shadowblades

they reduced a 500+ cap on comeback, down to 350.

Doublefrost is down from 400ish, to 200-300 range.

Still far higher than anything an infil can pull off

CD/DW are not good comparisons for damage, mercs and BMs complain that base styles outperform their class defining weapon spec in most cases. Saying LA > CD/DW means very little.
Left hand swings every round - at reduced damage.
Without haste DW = LA.
The haste effect is where LA starts to perform better.
