4th Realm

[Ninth Dimension]

Hi mythic ever decided to add a 4th realm to the game based on ether a mythology or some form of fantasy, what would you like to see?

Please give as much detail as you can, what would you vision be? What classes can you see this realm having? what would the environment they live in be like?

Personally i'd like to see something dark, maybe similar to the chaos idea in warhammer where they live for blood, etc...

I have the idea that one of the classes can be in league with his/her god to such an extent that they do masses of damage to the person they are againt, but in enchange scrafice there own life to their god. (similar to the savage buffs)

what do you think?

Demons and stuff are always popular in games. Think it would be in daoc as well. Atleast the realm, full of total chaos and fire and shit would be nice to see (bit like muspelheim in midgard maybe) Maybe could be abit like the fire city and its monsters in Heroes 3.

Im kinda afraid that they will announce that they made a 4th realm: The realm of robots and futuristic monsters and lasers and UFO:s... Everything that goes on for too long ends up with stories about UFOs and that crap.

Aint gonna work, 3 realm, if a new realm was added it would prob screw up the game balance even more

3 is better than 4 ...

with 3 you have an imbalance so you end up with a 3-way fight... with 4 realms it'll very often be 2 vs 2, or 3 vs 1

Asian mythology.

Samurai, Shaolin monks, Thai Boxers, Kungfu, Karate, Ju-Jitsu.

And chinese herbal medics can be the buffers/healers.

Maybe based on the Calender, Dragons, Tigers, Rabbits etc.

Tho rabbits belong somewhere else.

some nice suggestions from people so far, to everyone saying that a 4th realm would not work, we don't care, we already know this, we just want cool suggestions for what a the 4th realm could be.

Has anyone got any 100% fictional/original ideas?

given the fact they would have to respect the timeline (more or less anyway) :

- the Asian mythology would be a nice extra indeed

- Crusades? Mohammedans/Moors?

- A deeper delving in the medieval European sages/myths?

TBH with you while it would be nice to have something that was historicly correct, at the end of the day this is a game meaning you can do anything you like.

Now that don't mean that you can go adding things like spaceships beause that's of a totally diffrent style, but you get the idea.

I've allways believed that some type of asian mythology would be cool, i'd love to be a ninja

I would like a super-power realm. Like all characters made there where shadowed and have a question mark in front of them. So when you picked one you would randomly get a special superpower. Like the ability to pass through walls, super-human strenght, climb walls etc etc. Like the super-heroes . And when you chose your hero, the apperance of him/her would become that of the person WITH that power. And on each server there should be enough different super-powers for every player. So noone would look the same. And you could buy costumes etc- And even start own guilds of super-heroes! Now that would be fun... And you could only have ONE char. So like, when you created your character you would become him. And as you did stuff, your characteristic would change. Like if you where working for good you would become nicer in apperance and you would talk more and more like a hero. And if you worked for evil, you would get a darker and shadowed apperance. And talking more evil-ish. And there could be different guilds you could join. Like Avengers, X-Men, Magnetos group of mutants etc... Now that would be something. Wouldnt fit well with DAoC tho so I kinda just wandered of there... Oh well...

A realm with all uber chars, kinda like hib, but even more exaggerated. After 5 months they nerf the fuck out of the game so they're all 1.62 zerkers,warriors,bm's and earththeurgs just for the fun of wasting paying customers time
