Anyway, I am slowly getting back to the routine of things after the past several weeks.

The reason for my recent absence is because my wife's Grandmother died and we've had to sort out her funeral along with her family, then start clearing out her house and sort out who got what as regards furniture.

To top it all I've been pretty ill for the past 4 weeks and now I've got the flu on top of everything else - I've lost over a stone in weight over the past fortnight alone.

It's been a hard few weeks, but everything is starting to get back to normality now, thank god.

So have I missed anything interesting over the past few weeks?

Photoshop for Freddies is still in the pipeline, and I'll hopefully have time over Easter weekend to get it up and running.

Never rains but it pours...

I've just spent the last 6 hours in A&E with my wife, Maxine, who had been having chest pains in work all day - so much so that she came home 2 hours early, which for her says something.

So after waiting for 2½ hours (we arrived at 7:40pm) we finally got into the cubicle and saw the doctor (at 10:15pm). He takes some blood and does an ECG and we are left alone for another 1½ hours.

Finally at 11:50pm the results - the blood tests came back abnormal - one result, which for her should have been around 115 came back as 292.

So they've kept her in overnight, stuck in an A&E cubicle as there were no beds free on the wards, suspecting she has a blood clot somewhere in her chest/lungs.



So I've come home to sort out the damnable cat, get some sleep and get some stuff for her tomorrow - when they'll be doing a full body scan and another blood work up and ECG.

Needless to say I won't sleep much tonight. I'd even left the PC on mid-KotOR game thinking we were only going to get our dinner at the local KFC...

So now I'm off to get some coffee and toast, then try to get some sleep.
