they had to make choises.

games workshops warhammer world has 15+ races, some of which are more likely to work toghether than others, some of which are highly unlikely to ever work toghether.

in games workshops warhammer world, there is no order/destruction sides.

technically they could have made every race an independent realm. that would have ment 6 realms to start with, but no possibility to do inter race grouping/guilds.

while of all the races, empire and the high elves are the most likely ones to do inter racial grouping. i just can`t see malekith teaming up with greenskins except for very unusual situations. and malekith is just as likely to fight against chaos as against the high elves.


creating a 3rd faction in warhammer as it is is not something i see happening easely.

maybe a situation with empire/dwarfs/HE in 1 realm, greenskins + dark elves in a second realm and chaos forming it`s own 3rd realm would have worked.

... maybe if they ever bring out the other chaos gods and factions, chaos would be able to form an independent realm.

tzeentch + khorne + nurgle + slaanesh + undivided + beastmen (+daemons) = chaos

high elves + woodelves + empire + bretonnia + dwarfs (+lustria) = order

dark elves + skavens + greenskins + undead (+ogres) (+chaos dwarves)= destruction

`might` work.

but splitting the realm of destruction in 2 sides would create shitloads of problems for the people playing destruction.

Yes a 3rd faction would have been great, but it's kinda too late now. Should have been there at release íf they should have added one imo not in some expantion later on.

Coolest thing would be having each race an own faction... With just, say, Empire, Greenskins and hmm, Lizardmen....

EDIT: Open PvP only, and add more races (factions) in expansions.

i loved daoc, it was by far the best mmo ive played till now, the 3 realm RVR was glorious, im still worried about what will happen to the world in WAR when we all hit 40, all BGs going to be empty? iompossible to do a PQ without forming a zerg etc...?

id said for a long time DAOC couldve had another realm, a greco-roman realm to cause even more havoc. the best rvr ive ever had was usually during a good milegate punchup with the mids half way thru the hibs come steaming in causing havoc, after a few mins of madness theres a few pallys left standing
