Tescos use the O2 network, they pay O2 to carry their customers. Can't say I have thought about using tesco mobile but they seem to have some decent deals.

Tesco do far more than food now, if you have one of their super stores near you its more like a department store than a food shop. Most of it is tat but they are often cheaper when it comes to electricals and its a great place to get last minute presents/birthday cards.

They had a special offer on wine, 2 £8.99 bottles of wine, buy one get one free...except the ran out and sent me 2 that weren't on offer at the full price, may as well have gone to the pub!

Yes, >>>I<<< think French wine is shit. It doesn't come close to some new world wine. Sure some of the more expensive bottles aren't too bad but you can get a far better bottle for your money with some Chilean, South African or even American wine.

It comes down entirely to taste. Like most things / opinions. I think marmite tastes revolting, other people love it. Some people would wolf down a widgety grub & ask for more. You'd have to put a gun to my head before I eat one of those worms. Taste.

For cheaper, everyday wines then I wouldn't go for French either. But at the higher end, they are amazing.
