3D glasses

Has anyone tried a pair of proper 3D glasses? These seem to be the most talked about but I don't know anyone who's actually tried them, and I'm not forking out if I don't even know what I'm paying for.

Anyone seen these? Have they appeared in the Technation buildings? Maybe on the Research floors?

I got some with my gfx card, MSI GF3 ti500. They run of a separate card that came with the kit. I think they are LCD shutter types.
There is some "demo" stuff that I tried, a coral reef, after a short time I felt sick, the effect is pretty poor.
I've not tried them on GL stuff, maybe they are ok, gimick mainly methinks.

Yeha, i was gonna get a GF3 with the Glasses, but in the end i opted against it because they wouldnt "improve" anything other than give ya headaches
