Ok i got no clue as to what im doing here lol.

I heard somewhere you can use any wireless USB adapter to connect to your wireless router.

How? i can't fiddle with any wireless settings on the xbox 360.

Anyone running wireless know how to do this?

also what is windows connect?

I dunno about the USB thing as my 360 has arrived yet, but thats another story. But Windows Connect, connects up to Windows Media Edition machines or Win XP machines with the Windows Connect plugin it allows streaming of all kinda files.

Google around first. Your sure to find the answer.

What about your router itself, is it set to allow more devices to connect?

Yep the router is set to allow any incomming devices i have DS+MKDS running off it plus my other pc.

I bought the wireless adapter today about 10mins ago connected it to the xbox and it detects my router right away.

The reason my other USB wireless adapter didn't work i believe is because it also has a installation disk with it so you have to install it first. Obviously no way of doing that on the 360.

Anyway im up and running now :)

The 360 wireless adapter is a really nice design clips onto the back of the 360 you don't even know its there :) still £60 sort of made me wanna barf after i handed my card over to the GAME guy :(

Got another game while i was there too lol well 2 games PGR3 and Ninja Gaiden Black :)

Aye, I was looking at Ninja Gaiden Black. Love that game, and the replay value with new bosses and extra difficulties is huge.

I played the first game last year but never completed it.. not due to it being rock hard but i loved it so NGB felt right to pick up.. and at only £20 how can you go wrong?

Not played PGR3 yet completed COD2 today confusing ending credits but never mind :p

Now im cracking NFS:MW 9th on the blacklist now, the police are fucking insane now! their cars just own and they bring in choppers.. also what else do they do? they lay stinger traps that blow your tires!

Dunno if im going to bother completing PDZ the game is just so fucking annoying you can't do anything like stealth etc like they want you to do! ah i dunno that game was so hyped.

Why can't they just bring a port of Goldeneye to the 360? don't mess with anything but the graphics and leave it how it is. also add LIVE mp :) now that would own!

I've also got the wireless adaptor...now i generally dislike wireless but its forced on me by the owner of my house.

Had some inital trouble getting the thing connected at the MAC printed on the side was incorrect, flicked it on and off a few times watching the MAC lsit on the router and eventually saw which one it was.

Got it hooked up and its a good little unit..gets better signal than my PCs and not had any other problems with it yet.

still i'd rather have a nice copper cable but needs must when the devil vomits in ur kettle.

I just plugged it in and it worked straight away.. i was fiddling around for about 1 day trying to get it to work with another adapter. The £60 price tag was sort of annoying but it was hassle free.

I don't notice any lag at all.

60 quid for a wireless adapter? Why not just spend like ~30 on a wireless access point?

Thats what i did.. was a USB thing that i plug into the XBOX360 but it wouldn't detect my router at all.

In the end i got fed up with it and paid this stupid price tag. Ah well.

Yeah but a USB one would need to be supported by the 360. If you get an access point, set it up to access the wireless then hook it up to the xbox by an ethernet cable - that way the 360 doesn't even realise it's on wireless, one less thing to go wrong.

TBH i'll probablly end up buying the wireless adaptor when I get my xbox 360 (still not allowing myself to get one cause of exams etc) even though its horribly expensive because its hassle free and I really cba to run cables to both places I will be using it

A new option for networking the 360, network bridge it to a pc or laptop (e.g. you could use a laptop with wireless to connect it, thus allowing you to stream video from laptops hd at ethernet speed or use the wireless on your lappy to do it)
