new book out by the great man, sounds good.

I saw Fever Pitch on TV and then got the book but never started it, because it's kind of funny doing it that way round, consequently I haven't got any other of his books either, but keep meaning to read them. I've read one or two short articles from him and he seems a very funny writer.

Opinions on Nick Hornby stuff ?

Yeah, read loads of Nick Hornby stuff. He's no literary genius but the books are pleasant enough.. good stories etc.. Seems to have a habit of having his books made into films.

Fever Pitch, ok-ish book, ok-ish film.
Hi Fidelity, great book, excellent film.
About a Boy, ok book, loved the film.

I've read About A Boy, Fever Pitch and High Fidelity and all three are very good. About A Boy is much better than the film, I've not seen High Fidelity or Fever Pitch though. I'm reading How To Be Good atm which is also pretty good so far.

His books are pretty easy-going to read and funny to boot. Just don't read Fever Pitch if you're a Spurs fan.
