Ive read a bit about that whole battle, all I can say is go spartans!!!

that trailer is an amazing amount of adrenalin and testosterone fueled carnage. I must see this movie. even if there is no story to be bothered with, people jumping about fighting with spears always manage to facinate me

the story has a really good historical basis, and frank millar making it all funkeh.

Its not gunna be lord of the rings but its gonig to be cool as hell.

Makes me wish they did the Acient Greeks in my history class and not the Romans, the Greeks (and mainly the Spartans) were hardcore when compared to that roman trash

Id advise every1 to see this film and if you can seek out teh novel, its a good laugh.

I downloaded the comic and it does seem fairly historically accurate - it's just portrayed in a very stylized way.

i just think the clip ive seen is very Frank Miller but live action. There are bits of Sin City like that.

As far as teh Spartans are gay thing im not sure if thats covered... tho its wasnt so much gay, more your not allowed women till your married so its eachotehr or your horse...

Spartans are bad ass tho...

For me it is going to be a Film version of one of David Gemmells finest Characters Druss the Legend (Battle of Skeln Pass)

It is clear from the book that he used the battle of Thermopylae as his base for the book it can be nothing other than great.

Mr Gemmell wrote a couple of excellent books that had the Spartans in. They were ace, Lion of Macedon(SP?) I think.
