Been trying to help a friend do a SC template and failing miserably
2H slash specced
Using MP armour.
Anyone got a good template hangin around?

I found one - it is first version of my own tho not perfect - i improved l8r with cap on spirit and almost on quickness but look at it anyway - it is based on 2 arms epic rings , other items are very common items from quests or DF, if you prefer cap spirit resistence so put it on weapon instead quickness.
Btw with sidi rings and new quest necky can be improved farther
ofc crush - slash in your case.

By the time it wears out we got Toa so you need to get a complete new set anyway.

Besides this is my second set already , cause s.i. gave some awesome items for resist.

Ahwell keeps us buzzy tho :)

forgot to mention she has adamant tether breaker, 2H sidi slasher stats are 4 parry, 4 two handed, 6%crush, 22 strenght

I was under impression quickness was bad very bad for polers and 2H'ers?

I find quickness very importent after playing rvr with my arms 5 months. Was asking many 2 handers about - cap quickness or not - most ppl said not. I made my tamplate both way i can play with almost caped quickness and 5.1 hammer ( quickness 200 with my bb buffs ) or play slow sidi 5.7 hammer and get quickness 50.
Dmg cap diffrence between quickness 170 and 5.7 hammer and quickness 50 and 5,7 hammer is like 90 dmg -800 dmg with 50 and 710 with 170 , while fighting you dont even notice diffrence in dmg but you notice your swing time ! which makes you almost useless cos of dmg over time with all miss rate , pbt , evade blocking , parry .
Playing 5.7 spd weapon with quickness 50 (without theurgist haste) is really pain and not enjoyable tho i am sure many arms just get use to it and accept it , but try play a week or 2 with quickness 200 and you will never get back to 50.
Dont know how is it with polearms.
2hander arms are gimps already dont make them even worse with swing time 5 sec !

cause there is comming alot of b.s. out of youre helmed :m00:

playing arms for more then a year on and off and i know what quick does do .

little tip the first hit does not have delay time but the dmg formula uses it.
that youre char does not need intell does not mean the controller of it does not need it also.

I used to play with capped quick, then switched to 0 quick, but taking the spec dex/quick buff which on my briton arms takes me to around 120. Personally I find the extra damage I do to be significant and prefer the reduced quickness. I have also tried without the buff, which leaves me with 70 quick (yes I put quickness on my armsman when I made him 2 days after release...). I found that too slow. So I guess what I'm saying is I wouldn't personally cap quickness as the damage loss was too great, but it is useful to have a certain amount. I guess it's finding a balance.

As for your points about miss, block, parry, evade etc affecting damage over time... I would say that argument could be taken either way - the average fight is usually over so fast that you want every hit you make to hurt as much as possible, so go for the lower quickness to ensure each hit counts for the max. Then again being able to squeeze an extra swing in over the course of a fight might just turn the tide. For me that's another reason to go for something in between...
