there arn't really any new rock and roll rebels anymore.

as a side note, on the same day 24 years ago i was having an emergency operation to remove my appendix, funny how you remember things, i have thought about it for years and now i can remember almost everything to do with my operation. ho hum.

Its also a week and 2 days since i had a drink, i have puked up a couple of time and last night i had heart palpatations and dizzyness, but i think i have got all that behind me. (hopefully).

Surely a rebel is someone who does what they want rather than what is expected. Thus rebellion now would be drastically different from then? :)

Also, 24 years ago today I was more than likely shiting in my nappy, crying and/or wanting food. What with being < 6 months old.

I was 14 and remember it, I also remember being put off the song, Imagine, for quite a while, due to it being played rather a lot.
The song has since regained its place in the ranks of non-objectionable music, unfortunately John Lennon is still missed.

Rebel? He was a fucking hippy. I mean of course it's sad he died and all that but he's the most overrated songwriter ever imo (just ahead of Kurt. Hmmm, both dead. I see what Goldie Lookin Chain were talking about now). Imagine is the most tedious drivel I've ever heard in my entire life, and most of the Beatles songs were shit apart from Hey Jude and Lucy in the Sky, and they were average at best.

Fab four? Fucking shit four more like.

He was crap, along with the Beatles tbh.
Shouldn't have been shot, but no great loss imo.
