TOA (o i hate saying that) - Trails of Ascension looks good, Perma-death seems like a good idea, will cause an INC grouping, but proberly more aggro when someone cocks up.

spider sense sounds so familiar..

TOA looks quite good, but i think i'd prefer gods & heroes. i always had a fascination with the greek/roman gods.

innovations sound like an interesting concept to add to a game too. permanent death seems like a rather threatening idea, i assume that my game characters will be there forever. so i want them to be, going away for months will result in the death of your character by the sounds of it.

yeah am edging towards Gods & Heroes too, 1) because i too like the Roman era 2) something different

Innovations sounds very interesting indeed, no quite sure what you meant about "going away resulting in the death of your char".

As i understand it about perma death you start with 100 "life counters" each time you die you lose a counter, when no counters left you lose that char forever.

But saying that when you die you are respawned at your last bind point and you start a new char with some of your old char traits i.e any scars / diseases you might of had.

Magic could be interesting too, sounds like it might be a challenge and dangerous to be a magic user in this game, but if you make it through, the reward is you will be a powerful mage

I did forget to mention that if you look on ToA forums there is a "newbie guide" which explains alot more about the game and concepts including perma death.

Another game to check out (and taking Beta applications), though with a different approach to the graphics

it says you need to eat and drink. i assume not eating/drinking will result in the loss of a life counter.
