Ok,
I have tried a number of times to run AA and AS on DAOC a number of times in the past.
As you know you don't have the option to switch it on within game, so you have to do it from outside.
Previously I used a Radeon 9800 Pro and AMD 3000+ (old cpu) and it would not run with locking up after a certain time. I just put it down to ATI Hardware and motherboard etc etc.
Now on the next machine I had was an AMD 64 3500+ with a Nvidia 6800 GT, never tried running AA/AS on that.
Anyway built a new machine 7800 GTX and Dual AMD 64 4400 (2GB Memory) recently. So I thought bring it on and switch on all the options. Now we have a slight improvement. If I run just one account with 8AA and 4AS everything is fine, and looks beautiful. Anyway load 2nd account (Plenty of Memory and 2nd core available), that looks great as well.
BUT ... after a few switches between one accout and the other, DAOC locks up on one of the accounts.
Any thoughts ?
Or am I just being greedy
