1vs1 arena??

ive taken a break from the game at the moment...but its given me time to think, when i go rvr the thing i enjoy most is just waiting around by myself in trees for a single hib/mid to come.
to me it seems that the most strategy in rvr would be 1vs1. and it depends on how well you can play your characters, and focus on your opponents weakneses and your strengths...anyway.
it will take god knows how long to suggest to mythic to make a 1vs1 arena so couldnt we all decide on a place where solo players could go and fight others 1vs1.

i know saying this now it wont work because of people who want realm points and just come in and kill ppl (specially stealthers!)

but maybe this is just a idea id like to happen..

There was a similer thread in one of the other forums, I said it there and i'll say it here, its a great idea, I enjoy the one on one duels most of all, they are the best fights I have had wether I won or lost, always an enjoyable and great fight. However any minute now the holyier than thou assholes are gonna start flaming you about 'rp farming' and bragging off about killing anyone they see dueling on sight yadda yadda...

This simply isn't going to happen as nice as it would be, the best we can hope for is that some time way in the future mythic make some kind of zone, like you said, an area in the cities or something where we can duel outside the realm point system.

It could also get a bit cropped out, as the number of active RvR players isn't that extensive nor are the options/variables in 1v1. Admittedly they have been boosted a fair bit by RAs, but without them atleast it would soon enough fall into a bit of a treadmill with this class beating this and the original excitement of "I wonder how I do vs him" lost.

just do it on Gorre when its Excal, dont think goa would like ppl duelling, there are still ppl that likes to finnish enemies off in 1on1 so they would propobly think thats rp-farming.....
would be nice thoe with a arena bg where you dont get any rp when you "accidently" kill your opponent

They could prolly strip off all ra's when entering this stage, so ya (skillz) decide who wins. Btw a team is never stronger than its weakest link, and if that link I s bard who got a fetish for spamming mezz, then u in (BIG) trouble.

Can make, aint hard, but who will pay it =)

BG where no groups possible, no healing to otherplayers, no buffs etc etc, and there can be like 30 of those, max peeps to enter / 1 is 8 / realm and small map, or even 1 group vs 1 group, 1 kill max 8 RP, if u solo , u get 8, if u in group of 8, u get 1 point =)

and then make different rankings on that 1 =)

GOA go work =) almost like PvP server , but still little different =)

hehe aye i think they are more okay with duels on gorre... zargar was having a little look at the big duels when gorre was 1.50 excal

From a post a few months ago...

I did suggest to Mythic back in Beta a "Gladitorial Zone" which realms port to and get it on PvP, RvR or RonR (inter-guild rivalries being what they are) in a controlled environment (i.e an arena within which combat was allowed limited to FG's with no rp awarded surrounded by an environment where peeps were "disarmed" but could spectate and also converse with one another). I think they binned the idea when I demanded the hotdog, peanut and bookie franchises in the Collosseum .

Or just maybe they had already decided on the PvP server.

Can't remember Kemors exact words on Gorre, but he said something like "enjoy it while it lasts"

How about leaving gorre open to duels so it doesn't affect excalibur rps so people that complain about "rp farming" cant complain about it, maybe this cant be done, but what else is gorre used for between patch test to patch test?
